As the title suggests.. What is it that you are looking forward to in Guild Wars?
I'm looking forward to not getting a monthly bill, and yet have monthly updates. Hmm.. I also want to see killer graphics, and guild raids.
IMHO, the quests which I have heard rumors of are very intense and leave boring classic 'mailman' and 'hitlist' quests in the dust. I'm glad of this, and I hope other MMORPG's change with them.
Well, I'm done rambling in a sporatic circle, your turn.
I'm looking forward to a game that the developers really seem to want to take the game in a new direction. A game that tries to be revolutionary!
I'm also looking forward to the fact that it's cheap. :) I can buy the game, but still afford to pay for WoW as well!

As Nojin said, the way the game is played is supposedly going to be different than any other game out there now. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. :)

Yeah...
Honestly, I don't have an opinion of whether or not it'll work, I'm just looking forward to seeing if it does. If it does... well I think it'll be amazing.
Soooo... Guild Wars rocking is just my HOPE right now (unlike my belief that WoW does indeed rock :)).
Im looking gorward to it because of its amazing graphicals style and quality and the fact i will have action all the time which is not the mode for mmorpgs.

from what i've read on IGN, it seems as though the PvP will be very fun...
there will be teams, each member on each team will be able to pick something like, 8 skills to use from their lists and then they're stuck with those skills throughout the "mission"
one team is the attackers, and the other is the defenders... i think you can pretty much determine what each teams missions are... i'm looking forward to this very aspect as well as the fun of co-op missions and maybe even the solo missions...
this is all just very exciting to me...

yea, it gives it that fps sense of teamplay and removes pointless PKing
I wonder how the realms would be set up, would they be divided by region or would everyone play on a single realm?
edit: just downloaded & got some info about US realm, guess that answers my question
I'm just looking forward to playing what looks to be a great, no monthly fee, mmorpg.
Of course, being free means I can even keep my CoH account going if I desire. Also means I probably won't concern myself with WoW or EQ2.
So has GW lived up to all of your expectations so far?

Hah. A thread resurrected with a general open question that invites all the complaints of the last two years.
How about I just close this and put it out of its misery?
