there was one mmo that actaully let a specific char(constructor) lay turrents on the map(they made it so it you would be limited to 3 turrents).

I had a suspicion that the ritualist would be like it, becuase of how the ranger spirits act as immobile aura creators.

the ritualist reminds me of it, now the templates they gave us arent the most optimized(im sure some1 will find combos to lay down 6-7 different spirits that actaully do dmg and not ~3), but for pve this means you lay down 6-7 turrents(spirits) pull the 10+ enemies into the turrents and move on.

it could be one of the nicest solo pve builds, but only time can tell.

or you can just compare the spirits to shaman totems, they even have the same names :( (earthbind).

ok did some further research(looked at every skill).
most spirits you summon dont actaully do direct dmg, but do effects like knocking over, removing hex's or can be used in conjunction with other spells that are like: "do x dmg based on y spirits to target" or "sacrifice spirit to do x dmg to all targets in the area" and so on, but there are about 4 spirits that do actaully attack with decent dmg, 2 last for over 2 minutes with 12 in communing(might be wrong about that), and another 2 that only last for 20-40 seconds.

the thing is im not sure how the spirits will work in pve agro wise.
If the enemy attacks them before you, then you can use them as a wall and shoot from behind(after pulling the enemies into them), otherwise they could be possibly programmed to kill players/henchmen before spirits and then you will need to use the healing stuff(using a specific spell and then summoning spirit will heal you, sacrificing spirit heals you...).

whats a turrent?
Misspelling of turret.

turret

n 1: a small tower extending above a building 2: a self-contained weapons platform housing guns and capable of rotation

Another analogy being drawn in from some other game... or type of game.

whats a turrent?

I've seen this mispelled version of turret more times than you can possibly imagine in that one mod for Half-Life, 'Natural Selection.' It's really annoying, and I don't understand why its said that way It's actually more difficult to say with the added n.
