Hi my name is Teufel & I'm a Rit-addict.

Ever since Anet shut down the preview event I have been dealing with Ritualist withdrawls. I have no urge to play vanilla GW & I'm jonesin' for my Rit. I log onto GW & just stare at the screen wondering what to do but nothing is fun. I loved playing Rit soooo much that now....now that I can't...well it makes me depressed. No, not suicidal omg! omg! Imma gunna kill meself! depression but... well I just have the blahs I guess. No Rit = no fun.

I WANT MY RIT!!! <tounge in cheek mode> F'n Anet! F'n drug pushers! Yea first one is free! That's how they get ya hooked!

Awww, I feel for ya, bro, I really do. Mebbes there will be another little 'fix' from ANet before release, to alleviate your 'cold turkey'? One can ony hope.

I know how you feel. I log into my account and see my ritualist looking at me. But the red box in the corner say NO YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED. It makes me sad. I can look but I can't play.

Here's for a speedy chapter 2 release or another pre release event...hey what happened to the beer chugging smiley?!?...oh now I'm really sad.

I feel ya. I saw someone with a R/A yesterday too, meaning it may be possible that you could stay logged in and keep playing the Factions classes. *sigh*

Anyway, instead i've been trying new things i've never tried before, like ranger's beast mastery, and necro curses. Beast Mastery can be sweet if done well!

Funny enough, I feel the same! I am actually looking forward to play Ritualist than Assassin!

I guess A-Net's promotion did its job.

I feel the same way. I'd pay $50 right now just to play the incomplete classes. Screw Cantha and the new story, give me Rit. now!

According to secret information they put them in a camp with the assassins to look more like the anorexic stick, lose weight and pounds around the hips especially. They will also change the animation, they will make "om om om" instead of those vulgar, backbreaking rituals.

EDIT: They also want to add a lightbulb to the lampshade.

Don't look at your ritualist! More you look, more depressed you will be.

I installed search engine on my server which scans the internet for everything related to ritualist daily, so I get news-flash. It's not helping much, but at least softens the pain.

Me too -- although I'm bummed that she's wearing that stupid headgear. I don't understand why Anet provided an option to not show headgear but it still shows up on the login screen.

The head gear on the login screen is set to show how it was from the last place you left. If you logout with head gear hidden, it doesn't show on the login screen.

That's not correct. I ALWAYS have my head gear hidden. I haven't figured out the logic, but I've noticed that if I log out as my character with my headgear hidden, headgear will not show on the login screen. If I exit the came and come back in, it will still not show. HOWEVER, if I switch to another character and then log back out, suddenly the first character has decided to put on their headgear. It doesn't happen all the time, but I'd say it happens 90% of the time. I have never been able to have all the characters on my login screen not wearing headgear w/o actually removing the headgear.

Yep....I can hardly wait until chapter 2's release (or the next event) so I can do more than admire my Ritualist on the log in screen. The other three of my babies will suffer much neglect after Factions' release.

Yes, my elly NEVER had her headgear showing in the login screen. My warrior and mesmer have their headgear showing 80 or 90% of the time. It's annoying cuz I don't like mesmer head gear and always have it switched off ingame...

My husband got a chance to complain to Gaile during one of her LA visits. Her response was to just remove the head gear before you log out.... Gee thanks Gaile how useful... :banghead:

you guys are complaining about how your character looks in the log on screen... oh no, it has its helmet on until i play it. :P that has got to be the stupidist complaint i've ever seen.

as for gaile's response, i'm pretty sure she is with comunity relations, not tech support.

Na I've see worse complaints. I think this one is just about logic. You have your Helm hidden...it should stay hidden, even in the log in screen. I think they are just pointing out a flaw. No real complaints, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion whether you think it's stupid or not.

If there is a helmet or not is indeed odd.

My Elementalist NEVER shows her headgear. All my other chars do, when I have set it to hidden it will be displayed till I log on and then log off - then it is gone. If I switch to another char, then it will be displayed again on next logon.

it's definitely goofy and I've never noticed a pattern, rhyme or reason, either.

would be nice for it to be consistent (like Gaile suggested ;)) - put it in the bug forum and /bug it and hope for the best.

Adding my two coins to the main discussion...

Yeah, I feel your same pain!!
Where's my hot goldy bishounen ritualist guy?? And my 12 consecutive wins with him followed by another 12 consecutive wins as we replaced the party member who had to go?? Gimme back my ritualist!! It was so refreshing to play something new at last!! Oh the pain, the torture!! Why did they have to make us try the new classes so much before!! I was so fine before I tried my ritualist!!! Come back to me goldy boy!!!

I find it annoying that everytime I log in my warrior is wearing that stupid bucket too.

I'm not planning on making a Ritualist straight up, but I also have my assassin standing there looking at me. I wish I could take her out for a run across the Isle of the Nameless. :undecided: Since there's no addicts-help thread in the Assassin forum, I thought I'd come here.

Please don't throw me out.

You guys took the shoes out of my mouth (or words.. don't matter).
I had to get rid of my chapter 2 character cause I would have gone mad:weep: I'll go to sleep and dream of ritualistis chanting and dancing in the wilds and assassins running like the wind while angry tengu chases 'em through shiverpeeks.. :cloud9:

I really enjoyed the Ritualist's movements and appearances, and I can't wait to make one for my own and see how their skills will be good in PvE. I'm more excited about Ritualists and Assassins, not to say Assassins are awful, it's just I'd prefer the Ritualist.

I vote that the Ritualist blindfold helmets are cool!

They had a bunch of pre-release weekends, I can imagine another event for factions.

The whole event was one big, shameless promotion...

And it worked on me!

I too have had to delete my ritualist, and am suffering severe withdrawl symptoms. :embarassed:

I got off easy then. I made a temporary account for the weekend because I couldn't decide on a character to delete. Thus, when the weekend wrapped up, my super-awesome ritualist with no unlocked skills or runes got purged from the servers, but not from my heart.

I miss him dearly, but I'm not tormented by mementos of his existence, and for that I'm thankful.

Someone mentioned A R/A still around, just thought I'd expand on the why of that if that hasn't been answered yet. As long as you made a chapter 1 character with a chapter 2 secondary, you can still keep playing that character after the event, you just can't use the Chapter 2 skills. But you can still view them. I take out my N/A every once and a while to admire her skills and sate my craving for sin =P

The preview was good.

Many players feel the taste now.... they want more of it...

They crave it... :)
