View Full Version : A Ventrilo version of TeamSpeak Overlay!

Hi all,

some people in GWO asked me to post this:

In case you don't know, it's an app that allows you to see IN-GAME the names of people speaking on Ventrilo (or TeamSpeak). Very useful if you don't know everyone's voice.

If you ask me, it makes TeamSpeak obsolete, since Ventrilo typically has less delay between a person talking and the rest hearing it.

TS used to have the signifigant advantage of TSO, but now TSO is obsolete too, since this program can also handle TS if you still choose to use it.

Site seems broken to me. And downloads dont work for me. Still.... Vent>Cup And String>TS

I just checked the site, it seems fine. Maybe your DNS is out of date, try this IP: 213.239.203.47 (as a website)

I was trying this out and it seemed to work fine. Then I was in PvE Tombs and got to courtyard and the game started to lag BAD. And its not my connection to the internet. I am at a school with a really high speed connection. When I went to window mode to see if I was being attacked(I wasnt my firewall wasnt going off) a popup saying GW had suffered a serious error and needed to close.

Why do some programs attract religeous zeolots? TS vs Vent is getting like IE vs Firefox or Windows vs Linux!

TS does work, and I'll keep it around for using other peoples' TS servers, but don't you agree that Ventrilo has less "lag"? That's why it's better.

As for Voice Overlay, it handles not only TS, but also Ventrilo, so it's obviously better, unless it crashes your game or something. It doesn't for me.

IE vs FireFox? Personal opinion. Both have advantages and disadvantages. I personally use http://Maxthon.com which is a shell for IE that gives you tabs etc.

Windows vs Linux depends what you're using the PC for. Most people would want Windows, but Linux makes a much better SERVER computer.

thats nice...but...g15+Teamspeak...works even better...
