Dret! I thought you'll post in my thread. Well then, I'll just copy my post here so that one can be deleted.

The Frog spoketh today. There were alot of topics, some interesting suggestions (hex and stance 20% mods), some screams to unban certain banned players(a certain guild was most adamant, and then punished accordingly), and the usual spammage of questions. But the main part... The part that made it all worthwile...
PC and Guildwars: 2000$.

Sounds like there will be no changes to Gale, which is great! Because i use it a ton in PvE, works mircales! Don't change it, it technically costs 15 energy.

Sorry to all those frog fans, but the way this guy speaks *types* totally infuriates me. Non stop talk of pizza's that no-one can eat (or ever sees) and constantly speaking as if he is mentally incapable.....The frog thinks.....The frog does not know of.....The frog is immune....

I mean he had lots of useful and interesting things to say in that chat in LA, however I found my self struggling to read the two posts submitted by mal, as the text is splattered with chunks of annoying dribble.
I know he is a frog in game...and getting into character is what he does, but I find it a little over the top, like its aimed at people 15 and under. (I randomly picked 15, I know there are some very mature youngsters out there - and some who aren't so mature)
I wonder if the person/s that play the frog thinks its cheesy as well, or if they enjoy the senseless banter that they do in each chat session.

Maybe i'm just a grumpy oldish (28) woman............................................. .....
Sorry again if I've totally offended any frog fans - but I couldn't hold it in any longer.

Although i find the Yoda-esque speak flavourful, the constant "mosquito wing pizza" and such joke is rather irritating. It was kind of funny the first time. "Kind of".

Besides that, Gaile and the Frog appear so often by now, or at least it seems as Malhavocs and others are busily logging, that the amount of new and interesting information is in constant decline. The amount of funny - and so for some at times silly talk - increases because of this.

Besides ladder reset on March 7th instead of March 1st I got not really much new information out of this Frogtalk.

I see that not all people like roleplaying, even if they play a 'role playing game'. Many people like roleplaying. I know people 10 to 50 years old that roleplay. I am really sorry for those who can't understand it/can't cope with it.

The way the frog talks is odd but its easy enough to just look past, plus if u pay attention, you can see some of the same kind of talk in both Gaile's and the frogs speech, it wouldnt surprise me if they are the same person

The Yoda imitation can be annoying, I agree. Most annoying I find the third person reference to himself, though. And no, Gaile and the Frog are hardly the same person... else I wouldn't know how to explain those occurrences in which they were both on at the same time ;). Roleplaying is fun, but the rp-lovers should also understand that not all the players, who play gw, are in there to watch theatre. Many of us are there to play the game the pvp fashion. Bear with the pvp'ers, just like the pvp'ers bear with the pve'ers ;).

Some people are for roleplaying and mention Yoda but - what Yoda does is not roleplaying, he does it naturally and isnt annoying. Yoda is like zen masters, it's different but u totally love it. Frog on the other hand 'forces' it. The style is totally forced, artificial. I for one have nothing against roleplaying, but if u roleplay u do it ... i dunno, normally? I mean, i perfectly understand frog is here for public relations, she has to be sooooooooo uber nice because it's her job. OK. But that doesnt mean i have to say how lovely it is. It's not, it sucks. As someone else said - replying to people about pizza geez gimme a break! And saying how *name the country* rulz EVERY time i read frog talk.. im sorry, i think u could be a brutal dictator and your country hegemonizing everyone around n who knows what, n i think we would still hear frog typing "oh ur so cool ofc, oh your country is the greatest of course"... ewwww. It's one thing to be nice, and totally another to lick everyones ***. I find it disgusting, as much as 12yr old kiddos love it.

Oh, and one more thing, i think most normal people would go nuts if they were frog, after dealing with... all those kiddos in the district. I actually think frog is taking serious drugs before and after appearing in LA, to handle the situation and remain ... normal. The other theory is that frog simply isnt normal, it's already nuts and this is the only job which he/she can do, and actually get commended! :) I mean, really, how many sane people will remain sane if most of their time they have to deal with lunatics? :)

So it sounds like IWAY might be changed so that it doesn't trigger on dead pets (or something like that anyway). Also, the potential changes to the lowbie arenas so that you don't have people in droks armor slinging elites around competing with true newbies has been needed for a long time. I wonder if they'll be implementing level requirements for items. Wow, that would change things...

Ever notice when Gaile is on, the frog doesnt talk that much cept for a few lines normally responding to what she says and if u notice when she gets swarmed with questions the frog doesnt talk and she will be like oh hes napping then suddenly "wake up"

But then when shes not on he appears and has full length conversations.

To simply say its not her because they are on at the same time is hardly an argument against it.

When the frog or Gaile speaks, it is usually in Lion's Arch, International Districts. This is rare in any case (there aren't GMs in Guild Wars most of the time).

I'm told that in previous frog conversations, Gaile has (accidentally) spoken with the frog's words. Sorry if that breaks the mystique for anyone, though it doesn't mean they are always the same people.

He was talking about the use of Panic to counter Gale on Gale Warriors. Since Warriors only have 2 regen so it locks their energy down.

I'm still working with my raw immages to compile a list of question/answer log for Frog, so people arnt so confused...but to be honest, I'm not sure I'm going to go ahead and edit them all anyhow. I think Mals does, though I would like to see all the relevant questions/good questions mixe din....not sure what I will do.

The comment about Panic worked two fold, as it both showed a counter to GAle and gave a use for a horrendously underused skill.

Much of his latest convo was about an argument to get people who were banned unbanned....most stupid.

I really didn't intend for my post to be a frog bashing exercise, truely I didn't.

I'm sorry if my coments caused people to attack the frog - who in my eyes is a representative of anet and is taking time out to inform us about the game that we all love (whether or not is apart of his job description or he does it for the fun of it, it doesn't matter - we are getting informed).
I was mearly protesting about the manner in which he chooses to deliver information to us, which it seems some people love and some people hate.

If it wasn't a drama to maybe skimp on some of the pizza wing comments, it would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you for even suggesting it.

Just like appearances by Gaile Gray, The Frog shows up at random times in Lion's Arch (International District 1). Neither The Frog or Gaile speak individually to players (as far as I know, that is) but they address everyone at once, using special green or yellow text (but you knew that, since you looked at the posted chat logs already). If you do manage to get into the district when they're online, you'll notice that the chat is filled with repeated questions, random comments, complaints, suggestions, and all sorts of other stuff. So getting a question answered can be difficult, if only because your question may be lost in the chatter.
