I'm surprised that the slots issue was discussed so little- either Gaile was smart enough not to humor them, or they blew themselves out on the forum already :tongue:

I'm disappointed that CE won't have an extra slots; I guess I'll have to wait and see what special feature it does have before buying it.

Also good to know that the lag issue is being taken care of- it's been absolutely horrendous lately.

Okay, time for some Gaile math lessons...

By leaving your accounts unlinked, you get 8 slots, each of which only has 50% of the total GW universe game content ---> 400% total content

By linking your accounts, you get 6 slots, all of which have access to 100% of the total GW universe ---> 600% total content

Although she does state that you DO get double the content and +2 to your total character slots, this isn't somehow deduced from the math. But, the math doesn't lie, you still get MUCH more content by linking than unlinking.

Oh well not quite sure why I looked, just holding out on hopes they'd figure out they fudged with the linked slot thing. Nope, and even looks like they're confirming the CE won't help with any extra slot(s) and there's nothing to be done.

Further where I would never Ebay any bits and pieces, I basically have a GW:P UAS account now, been pushed into a corner, and won't go on to GW:F. So there's no approved avenue to work out any kind of trade with someone who could make use of this given their very strict model.

Gaile, do the 'new math' thing all you want, if you haven't taken the time to see how a lot of us can't play the way we'd like and address it (or more likely you've just been asked to tout the company line) - many of us are getting pushed out.

If getting 100% means deleting my 100s+ hour characters for the privellege of bringing them into the expansion .. er I mean standalone game, and/or not playing certain classes, pvp, whatever one(s) you have to give up, why doesn't that '100%' seem all that appealing?

Just such a shame, a couple more character slots once and you get terrific approval ratings rather than 50% of the people disappointed in the move.

But maybe that's just 8x50% right? :laughing:

Ckaz:The point of the whole thing is that you can move your GW:P characters over the GW:F, and in fact play the majority of BOTH campaigns with all 6 characters.

think of what you loose if you do not link your accounts.. things like geting a Icy dragon sword (from a drop) is out of reach to a Factions only account unless they put a place that they drop in factions or other rare drops that can only be found in tyria.

I was leanient in allowing the previous Gaile chat log to discuss the number of slots issue since it was a major item of the chat. However I will not allow the same to happen here.

Check to see if you have images enabled if you're using IE. If you're using Firefox then I am unsure why you're having a problem since they are appearing just fine for me.

There was another user that was having the same problem. The creator of the How do I veiw logs or a name something close to that. He was able to fix it and you may want to get in touch with him to see if it is the same thing

I was playing last night and the main thing I noticed was how smooth the game was running compared the previous few days. No choppiness or skipping around in towns or anything. No lag during merchant/trader transactions either. Back to normal (at least, for me).

You only need once peice of Ascalon or Knights armor to get the benefits of its absorption property

I was thinking the same thing just yesterday. I've noticed ...on my computer atleast the game has been playing a lot smoother than it has been over the last few weeks. :smiley:

It really just comes to the aount of work to be done. I have complete logs (including questions) when i get my hands on them, but have been unable to find time to edit them down. Its just a matter of copying and pasteing, not hard or technical...just time consuming :/.

But if you need some tips/tricks, edit your interface so that your chat log takes up the entire vertical span of your screen, and take a screenie each time the green 'screenshot saved' note gets to the top of the screen. It averages about 20-30 screenshots I believe. Then its just a matter of going in and editing the comments in.

Like i said, really easy, but very time consumeing. If you guys would start keeping complete logs, you can post the condensed ones and then work on the completes later. I'm sure others would be willing to help as well. Just time consumeing, and its totaly acceptable the way its done now. But still miss some info unfortunatley :/.

Yea, thats the main thing I would like to try to reduce, as we try to get the logs up as fast as possible snice we get 10 or more people in LA right after Gaile/Frog leaves asking for what happened. For now I will start taking the whole log if Mal is around taking the just Gaile and try to compile it all quickly.

BTW, when I do log I do have it taking my whole screen, but the chat moves so fast at times, that I would probly taking a ton of screen shots still to get all of local.

Another thing that would be of concern is the IGNs of the question askers, the removal process would take more time.

So yea. Lots of work. Ill probly come up with some others, but it will probly wont happen next time unless someone does it for me snice I will be gone almost all weekend.

Might be more work but you could video record the chat log with Gaile log then slow it down on your personal movie player screenshot it then edit it.

bobjim, I know how you feel. I also asked Gaile a couple questions (about jewels and pve emotes), and she answered :) I realize I wasn't the only one asking, but it was still pretty cool.

Just wanted to give a thank you to the guys who logged and posted this. I'm sure an assload of work goes into it, and it's great to have an account of what happened when you end up getting the dreaded "district full" message. I'm really glad to hear the CE info will be out soon.
