A Thought on Kurzick Architecture

Has anyone else noticed that the Kurzick architecture, specifically the engravings and the archways, are almost identical to similar structures found in the Crystal Desert of Tyria? Food for thought.

I had same thoughts myself but after examining one arch closely the engravings were of a man not griffin. The shape of the arch itself is similiar however.
