Is there any way of getting screenies from a WMV file?
During that Factions trailer I want to study the mural you can see on the wall. To me they seems to be Canthan versions of what gods look like. Hence the question above.
Also have anybody noticed that bodyguards who showed up to attack the dude who killed the emperor were Luxons and Kuzricks?
Hiya!,
I super simple way (besides a "snagit" style program) is to us Microsofts movie maker. I think it's just part of windows. since the trailer is a .wmv it works like a snap. Open trailer, use the preview window to pause and frame advance to the shot you want. The program has a "photo" button that takes a jpg of the current frame. It's probley simpler than I explained it.....
here's one I just did

Hope that helps,

Sure. Just pause the movie and take screenshots.
The only mural that I could see (at the shrine) in two different sizes. Larger is, uh, large, but blurrier.
Smaller caps:

Larger caps:

I also took a cap of the inside of the door before they break it down (second post due to image limit):

And with maina's cap and mine, it looks like you'll be able to see detail and overall design. Bonus! ^_^

Hiya!,
Just came back and noticed that part. My two cents would be. "The Tale of Shiro Tagachi" says something about "two brave champions" that kill him. The video show us it's with the help of "third". The same tale says at that time there where 3 great armies. This is all guesses mind you. The two heroes would be a luxon and a Kuzrcks. "Ah but you said three! several times!" Yeah, the assassin, the third great army, Xunlai. The fall of the Emperor was what started the three great armies on their "Guild Wars", "Faction" battles.
It's a Idea I've been thinking about, assassins, xunlai, and that weird conspiracy thread I poked my nose in a few times. Thanks for reading the rant.

Edit- I will take more stills, if you wish. (lol..the "easy" way is to ask how and wait for the offers to poor in...I so have to remember that!)

Guys - thanks for tips and suggestions. I did try that print screen option and I only came up with black screenies.
Maina - the one you posted I took to be Lyssa. That's what I was talking about.
Again, you guys are terrific.

Here is what that door looks like with brightness and contrast adjusted with photoshop. Maybe I was the only one having trouble seeing it....

Yep it's dragon. But thanks, Warison for your adjustments, it does make the design easier to see.
Apparently dragon is the emperor's symbol or something - you can see it all over his robes.
I wonder if there's any connection between that and Glint. Or perhaps dragons is the 'modern' manifestion of ancient memory of the forgotten? Ascalons have dragons carved into some of their pillars as well.
