I know I've already made a couple posts in this wondrous lore forum, but I felt the need to properly introduce myself. I am Blazing Liger, and I'm new to this forum and Guild Wars in general. I got Factions the day it came out but have yet to purchase the original. (Actually, I intend on doing that today.) Though I am still a newbie, I hope to be able to contribute to this forum in the near future. My GW characters are Riunne Anunvasa (A/R), and Ryuka Anzaiku (E/N). And that's about it.
EDIT: Just to clear up any future confusion before it happens, I'm female. Most people automatically assume the opposite until I say otherwise.

Welcome, BL, and I hope you will start a trend of new users introducing themselves to the community in this thread.
Hi i've been playing this game for quite a while, but i only seriously discovered the wonderful lore forum about a week ago :) I have both factions and prophecies. My main character is my monk Kiaan Valeroot but i like playing all my characters from time to time.

Hi, My name is Root. I've only just discovered the lore forum through my friend, Kiaan (aka Lyrius) My main IGNs are Alison Crestmere (E/?) and Regan Wyngarde (Me/N).
Hey, I've been posting and everything on the Lore Forums for a while, but I'm gonna take this oppurtunity to introduce myself. I have 6 characters, with my main character having the name Zayren Seou (Rt/?), hence my user-name. I was introduced to GWO by a friend in [boat] and then to the Lore Forum by Gmr Leon in-game. So, hi to everybody! (And if you see a Zenyaato Seou, he's a friend in real-life, kinda long story.)

Greetings all
I am noctern, I have been lurking in these forums for quite a while and finally decided to take part in the lore section.
I must say it is a welcome change reading the lore forums in seeing members of the comunity work together to come to a form of answer rather then just scream and complain at each other.

Greatings,
I am Qwonland. I have both Faction and Prophecies version of GuildWars. Ever since iI have Complete all the mission (but not all quests) of both versions of GuildWars. I wish to move on to another level of Enlightment. After reading some of the posts in this Lore Forum. I feel attracted to it. So I wish from this forum I will learn more about GuildWars and its uncover (in-game) history.
I hope you can forgive me with my poor grammer and spelling mistake, yet at the same time taking me with you to travel past time and study the historical background of Tyria and Cantha.
In-game name: Celesta Qwonland (Ritualist)
Hello, I am Volitar and have been a long-time lurker of the Lore Forum here. I've finally decided to get involved in this forum based upon some of the more recent topics about the gods and how they could not actually be gods which would explain why the Mursaat decided to stop following them.
I am very much interested in the Mursaat, the nature of the pantheon of gods and the history in Guild Wars.
My IGN is: Volitar Aurelianus

Realized I should introduce myself. Usually go by Imiko Rari in game (and most people just call me Imi.) I have both versions of the game, I've had them both for over a year, and never seemed to finish the last mission in Tyria, but finished the main story arc in Factions within two weeks. I love to map EVERYTHING, talk to everyone and take little notes on pieces of paper my boyfriend probably really wants to throw away. I've already posted a few times here, but I thought it was time I actually posted /here/. I have an interest in languages, and a BFA in fine art, which I think has helped with being very observant of detail. I love hard facts, proper dates, and sourcing things.

Well I've been lurking for awhile, finally got involved and wrote an article on The Ulrikars, so I guess I should introduce myself.
My main IGN is Valen Demius (E/Me), though I have 6 PvE characters total, and I have both Prophecies and Factions. I love the little facts and interesting bits of lore that combine across campaigns and such, and also the little in-game hints to future campaigns.
I'm very interested in the Gods but one of my great interests is the Kurzicks. My favourite of the two factions, and most probably my favourite civilisation of Tyria and Cantha combined.
Hi my name's Fira and like Elvin ^ this is my first post to these forums =)
Nice to meet you all =) !!
(I will say now, my english is very bad...if I make lots of spelling mistakes hehe sry~ just ask me to repeat myself)
I've been playing GW since beta, at first I just played it to work on my horrible "engrish", however watching this game grow and change over the months really attached me to this game ^^
Just finished up Factions, waiting for Nightfall...
umm a noob question to the good members of the Tyrian Academy of Sciences ;)
With new continents of Guild Wars universe being revealed, would they be included in your studies? Or are you mainly focused on the known continent of Tyria?
/wonders to self if anyone read this lol

Welcome to the Lore Forum, Fira. To answer your question, yes, TAOS does focus on Cantha and the lands of Chapter 3 as well as the continent of Tyria. In "Tyrian Academy of Sciences" the "Tyrian" refers to the planet Tyria, where all of Guild Wars (with the exception of the extradimensional realms) takes place, not to the continent of the plant's namesake.
My name is moiax, and I have been playing this game almost since release. I have both campaigns, and have become increasingly interested in the lore that defines the guild wars universe. I would love to become more involved here, and I would definitley be up for some expeditions out into the unknown. My main character is Mench Willick E/Me, I have a necro, warrior, ranger and monk as well.
I have finished the factions campaign 3 times, but I have yet to finish the prophecies one:shocked:(only been playing for 14 months......).
The Crystal Desert and the Mursraat are among my favorite areas of interest, and I am a devout Kurzick.
I am a lore forum lurker. I guess I shall come out of the shadows and declare myself. I have currently 3 ascended characters (I did ascend all 6 classes, but only kept 3 from chapter 1...I am merciless) and 2 that have completed the storyline of chapter 2.
My ranger is a TGMC, so you might say I have been everywhere, like a bad disease :) I love to explore and I have a very good memory. People can describe a place in chapter 1 and often I can run them out and go "is this the spot you remember?"
Please count me in if you need someone to come along and fill a spot. Anyhow I enjoy the forums and like to post occasionally. I will try to stay topical when I do...but sometimes the humor beast will whisk me off topic and I ask for your gentle forbearance.
Hello!
I've been around on GWO for some time now (and around GW since the betas!)... mostly lurking, but I go through posting frenzies now and then. I haven't spent much time in the lore forum yet, but I think you guys are doing a great job, and I think I'll start participating more!
I'm a story junkie, it's my favorite part of the game. I can't get enough lore and roleplay. Hopefully by participating in this section I'll have more insight for my "groups", namely my guild (Sentinels of Arah [SoA]), my alliance (Guardians of the Mists), and the Guild Wars Roleplayers Association (gwrpa.org). I'm a busy girl, running around all over... but I can't figure out why I didn't pay more attention to this great section sooner! You guys are fantastic!
Pardon me as I weasel my way into your discussions. :cutie:

Hi everyone!
My name is Liz, and I'm currently my third year of university studying Anthropology, Spanish and Japanese. Only one left...:P
I'm relatively new to posting in this forum (I'm a bit of a lurker), but I frequent another forum. This forum, however, has much more lore and discussion than the other, so I may have to stick around here. I haven't officially done much in terms of lore, but reading through these pages, it interests me quite a bit, so I hope to learn something and hopefully share anything I find myself with all of you! I love PvE, the storyline, and all of the background and lore of Guild Wars, so I hope to learn and help. At the least, I hope to join in on some discussions :)
Thanks!
Hello, my name is Rognik and I'm an alcoholic. Oh right! Wrong speech.
Anyway, my primary character in Guild Wars is Rognik Listell, a mesmer. I've completed the main campaign and just recently finished the Nightfall one (as you can no doubt tell). I like to jump into the thick of things instead of making big, flowery introduction posts like this. Um, yeah.
Lore-wise, I was trying to explore all of the map not long before titles were even suggested as a possibility. I've gone and searched most of the nooks and crannies, and interrogated all whom I could. I may miss some of the obvious points, but I'll certainly find some obscure ones. So I hope that I'll be able to provide some useful insight into the lore and that I can build on what has already been collected in this... library? Symposium?

Hello, My name is Victor, but everyone just calls me Vic. I've been reeding this forums for a long time now, I was registered under another name before. I really love reading about the backstory of GW. You guys have been doing a great job. I've read other forums trying to do the same thing, but you guys are the best.
I've been playing GW since May of 2005, never owned Factions or Nightfalls, so a lot of exploring in tyria for me, I look forward in joining in the discussions around here. My character names are Zaa Nayazu, Archmage Immolatus and Zyanya Dark Shadow. I'll see you guys around.
Hey everyone. As you may be able to guess from the immediate left of this post, I go by the online moniker Denji, and after an endless amount of lurking I've decided to dip my feet in and see if I can contribute anything of interest to this community. Hope to catch you all on soon.

My name's Declan, and I just got here. Your reputation proceeds you, and I hope to contribute what I can. I've been a few places and seen a few things, and I'm looking forward to working with all of you for as long as I can stay :)

I've not noticed this thread before!
This is Tuor. My peronsal motto is BLT. I remember the early days of HoH when I was leading an Air Spike group and we were in Ad1 spamming for a monk. I had every member of the group say "BLT" while I told them the Purple Monster Joke.
We never got the monk, and I ended up farming.
On a more serious note: I've been a crawler on these forums for quite some time, and have even contributed a few articles and started a few flame wars.
Remember 2 things: BLT (pm me for what this means) and QA's writings deserve to be published.

Hi! My name is Capella, and I'm attending Rutgers for an anthropology degree. I've always liked the backstory and depth of Guild Wars as I played it, so a lore forum is pretty exciting to me. :)

Hi, I'm Troal, and I'm a GW addict.
I've decided to register here because I love the GW lore, and I've found many of the theories in this forum to be amazing. Sometimes, though, I wonder if even ANet has thought through their story as much as the posters here:grin:

Welcome.
We let them think they write the stories, and they let us think we write the stories. It's symbiotic.
Hey everyone. Been here on GWO for a while, posted a few things here in the lore forum (nothing huge, just my $.02 every now and again). Figured i should introduce myself cause well after having an exhauting 9 hour discussion on possible contradictions in Lore and possible conflictions in the sources with an alliance buddy, I kinda wanted to bounce the things off everyone and see what everyone else things.
My name is Ferdoc Monzini IGN, if you need help gathering lore or getting help to a place to see if something exists, i'll probably be up for it.
Peace all.
Been lurking for a bit here- only posting a few times. The ever evolving GW lore has really impressed me. I keep gravitating to this section because it seems to draw others that appreciate the game for what it is and want to talk about the story. It seems like we are in for an interesting experience with the expansion coming out later this year that, hopefully, tie up some loose ends and give us a hint at GW2.

Hello everyone, long time lurker (about a year) recent poster. This would be my first introduction into these fora. A friend introduced me to Guild Wars about a year and a half ago. Bought the game a year ago. Main character (Arianne Ailwyn) received her bday present this month, didn't finish Prophecies until a few months ago, and currently working on Factions with my first Canthan character, 4th overall (Yuki Akaikyoujin). I have all 3 campaigns, but all I've done in Nightfall is to get the heroes (very helpful when doing missions/quests).
I also am very interested in the Lore and backstories of the various elements of the game. I also like the details that Guild Wars' Art Department puts into the game. I think it really adds another layer of realism to the game.
I have deep appreciation for the efforts that the lore masters here have put into this particular section. I've often found myself spend hours reading over discussions about the world of Tyria. From who built The Catacombs to whether the Mursaat were actually working for the good of the humans.
I'm not sure whether I'll be able to contribute anything, but if I can, I'll definitely be posting, but for the moment, I shall be lurking the dark corners of the library.

Not exactly new here, but I'm looking to reactivate my membership in the TAOS. Was very much busy, but it's summer now, and I've some time to go spelunkin', mountaineerin' and adventurin' with you guys again.
So tell me, what are the recently debated subjects that need expeditions/evidence? Tried browsing through the threads, but I can't seem to figure out where I could help, which ones need some research and expeditions done.

Eratimus pretty much dissolved TAOS when he came back and attempted to wrest control back of the Lore Forum. The admin didn't like him threatening us, so he left and took TAOS with him. It was his creation so there isn't much we can do about that, but I encourage you to post as much as you like even if there is no lore research body anymore.

Whoa, a lot has happened in my absence :p
So basically, the Lore community is more often freelancing, rather than organising? Well, schucks!
I'll go and read a few more threads, see if I can organise some expeditions soon, to get the brainstorming think tanks going again.

Hi, just made my first couple of posts in the lore forums, been lurking around these threads for a while and just getting more and more hooked now GW:en is finally here!
Hi, there. I've been lurking here for a little while and love reading everyone's theories and lore on the realms of Guild Wars. It's nice when I've discovered something new in my game travels to come here and check out what many have said about it. It makes the game that much more interesting. Wonderful job guys!
