As we know it the Forgotten in both Tyria and Cantha didn't yield the progression of human civilization, but in Tyria the Forgotten left to live in the Crystal Desert. Though in Cantha there was no desert to go off and stay in. So this brings up the question of,how were the Forgotten different on Cantha than their relatives to the north?
Also,if you've read the Factions manuscripts there is no relation between the Naga and the Forgotten. (Just felt that was needed before anything was brought up)
Could the Forgotten in Cantha be amphibious, could they have left to live in the Jade Sea or the outlying ocean?

I wasn't certain there were any Forgotten in Cantha. Are you sure thye weren't just northern?
On another note, while the Book states there is no relation between the naga and the forgotten, personally I doubt they could be so similar without at least a common ancestor.

There is no relationship now. When the original Serpents inhabited Tyria, they were probably the same species and just deriviated as time progressed.
I'm with ShadowSword, I didn't know there were Forgotten in Cantha. Can you be more specific or clarify?
There were Forgotten in Cantha, right at the beginning, before humans arrived in Cantha.
Unlike in Tyria, however, the Forgotten and the humans never clashed, as the first Canthans settled on the northwest corner of Shing Jea Island. The Forgotten in Cantha departed at the same time as those in Tyria, although it is unknown where to.

786 BE: Humans appear in Cantha for the first time and settle the northern coastline before spreading completely across the continent. Their development is unhindered by the Forgotten.
That's what gave me the idea that the Forgotten were once on Cantha.

Good point. Although that can be taken two ways: A) the Forgotten simply didn't bother the humans and the two went about their business, or B) unlike Tyria, the continent of Cantha did not have any Forgotten to hinder the progression of human culture.

I noticed those two ways, but then I remembered the fact that the Forgotten were the custodians of the world and guided the creatures while the world was being created. Though "the world" mentioned could have been Tyria and not Cantha.

Canthan culture is highly ritualistic, while Tyrian culture tends to be more individualist or feudal. This difference could be due to the level of cooperation with the Forgotten custodians. Also, Canthan humans were around much longer than Tyrian humans, which may suggest that the Canthans had more time to get along with the Forgotten, and got it right, unlike their brethen to the North.
Of course, all of this is also based on the assumption that that Forgotten have a hive mind, which we know they don't. It's entirely possible that the relationship between Forgotten and human was dependant on the leader of the races on each continent. Perhaps there was bad blood between the Tyrian human and Tyrian Forgotten that simply didn't exist on Canthan.

That may be,but it was the Elonians that fought the Tyrian Forgotten, not natives to Tyria. They say the war between the Elonians and the Forgotten was waged due to the Elonians thinking the Forgotten were mindless beings, which was wrong.
Does that mean there weren't any Forgotten on the continent the Elonians came from?

It's possible, or the Elonians exterminated the Elonian Forgotten before they ever truly learned who and what they were, and thus when they arrived in the Crystal Desert, they simply continued this prejudice. Prejudices are the easiest things to acquire, and the hardest things to break, after all.
But when I posted my previous response, I was refering to the humans in heartland Tyria, such as in Kryta and Ascalon.

But in both those areas everyone had forgot the serpents hence the name Forgotten. Not to mention the humans in those areas never met up with the Forgotten. Though I would still like to see if the Forgotten are amphibious or not.
