Like 'Write Minor Runes' etc. However you would have to really work to get that skill and would need that skill in order to get Major etc. Also you would need to have crafting skills in order to make the paper and ink (special of course) required to actually write upon.

would these be skill-bar skills? would you need some magical ability? how would you work to get the skill?
This is similar to the suggestion that we should have professions, crafting abilities and so forth. For me, it does not fit with the concept of a competitive game like Guild Wars when there are already crafters / merchants in the world that deal with these things. Whichever way these things go they usually end up in a grind to make something which then turns Guild Wars away from a game of skill and into a game of time spent grinding to improve your crafting score. Can't say that works for me, sorry Johannus.

So, you're saying that ANet should change GW into EQ2? This has been brought up previously, but really doesn't fit into the GW 'style'. Runes are so cheap anyway these days, I can't see devoting time to get skills that could make them.

Agreed that non combat skills don't really fit with this game. Besides, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere in an interview that they have no plans to institute player crafting type stuff.
