I was thinking of a type of head-gear that gives +2 to all primary attributes at the cost of never being able to use superior runes. What do you think?
No, given that combine with minor and major runes, it would essentially provide the same benefits with less health loss.
Runes and headpieces are fine as they are.

I personally don't see any advantage to this. Can you explain a little bit about why this would be interesting/better?

Ouch, overpowered. I don't think everyone needs +4 (with major runes) to four attributes.

The nice thing about this is that you wouldn't be able to use runes, therefore you wouldn't be able to give yourself the vigor runes. It pretty much evens out with what you can do right now though so I don't know if anyone would want something like this unless it was super rare, and then you get into a whole different can of worms.

The OP's post only mentioned Superior runes, not Minor and Major. +2 from headpiece, along with 2 Major runes, would be a total of +4 to two different skills, whereas a +1 headpiece and a Superior rune would be +4 to one skill. That'd be slightly overpowered.
I must have misread, I thought it said no runes could be used period. That was what I was assuming. It would be overpowered if you could still use runes at all
It would have to be +1, not 2 to everything and, like everyone is saying, it would have to restrict ALL runes on ALL armor. That doesn't sound like something I'd use, but it does have a certain appeal... You may be on to something here.
If it were +1 with no runes, you'd be better off just using minor runes for each of your attributes, then adding a headpiece to one of them and a superior vigor rune. Net gain above a +1 all headpiece would be +1 attribute and 50hp.

That's what I do now on my Mesmer. Maybe they could add something else to the helmet (like a small armor boost and a small HP boost) to make it more desireable to some. I'd probably still opt to grab the runes on my armor, but you never know, maybe someone else would like that better.

Im more interested in special head gears which grant 1 energy regeneration instead of +1 to a certain attribute. Even in a trade off, or if it required an entire set of armor which had no other special effects besides your classes normal armor value, I think it could be a welcome addition.
