View Full Version : Confused about the frog...

I know that the frog is sometimes used by the dev team and what not-- but I'm confused on where to find him...

A few months ago, I saw him in Kaineng...
Just a few minutes ago, I almost stepped on him in the monestary...

I checked back in Kain and theres no frog there now, so I'm guessing it moved...


Is there more than one frog?
Does the frog ever show up in tyria?

For the longest time, the Frog lived in Lion's Arch next to the stairs leading to the Armorers. With the release of Factions, Gaile convinced him to travel to Cantha. His first stop was in Kaineng Center, but that proved too busy a spot and Gaile found him a new place in the Shing Jea Monastery. He's been there since the Dragon Festival.

So I guess actually catching froggie in a conversation is a wild luck thing, right?

Yea it is luck if you see it when Galie Gray isnt on, when shes on often times the Frog will speak

I'm comfused then. I just saw froggy in The Divinity Coast Mission. After you get the Eye of Janthir and are going though a swamp. There he is catching flies.
Is it him? Was there someone behind the frog?
I was in European English 1.

There are many frogs throughout the game and in various locations, Isis; however, there is only one (referred to often as The Frog) that lives in two places (Lion's Arch International district 1, and Shing Jea Internation district 1). You'll know if The Frog is present when in the aforementioned areas when yellow text appears in All Chat. (Please refer to one of the previously logged chats featuring either Gaile or The Frog. Note: occasionally both The Frog and Gaile appear in Gaile logs.) :) Hope this helped.

It's chance in regards to the Frog. You can't add him to your friends list.

When he does speak, though, it's gold text that's very distinctive. So if you're in the district when he speaks, it's very very obvious.
