For 5...9 seconds, you cannot be the target of Spells, and you cannot cast Spells. 5e 1s 10r

Vow of Silence is a permanent Spell Breaker (with the exception of the 1 second needed to recast it)

As long as you have a 20% Enchanting Scythe Grip and atleast 8 in Mysticism, Vow of Silence will last longer than the recharge.

How do you think it can be used in PvP and PvE?

Well you do lose the ability to cast any of your enchantment spells, and no elite slot of God forms, so I think its relatively balanced. Of course, a D/W (or D/P) with more addren skills might enjoy this elite quite a bit.

The skill description is a bit vague. Does this only stop enemy spells on you, or all spells on you, from allies or foes?

If its from allies as well, its a pretty useless skill, as you can't really be healed by a monk (except with Sig of Devotion).

I believe this, rather than the fact that it prevents you from using your enchantments, is what makes it a balanced skill. Not being able to be healed is the drawback to being totally immune to spells.

This could be a very interesting team build maybe call it Silent but deadly? Depending on how it works have 3 heal party bip necros and the rest d/r or p (predatory season?) all with vow or silence. the dervs simply rush in and attack all physical attackers seeing as how all the casters cant do jack to hurt them. Of course this would need refinements and all depends whether heal party is affected but i dont think it is since its not targeted.

Well look at it this way.

Can you get by with a Dervish Primary that doesn't use spells?

This could change, but I think the answer right now is no.

I think the skill will be as much as a lemon as "It's Only a Flesh Wound!" Will be.

Cast it and farm Ice Imps.

Cast it and farm Ice Imps. oh come on. . .

like a dervish is going to have a problem farming anywhere =/

well now that i think about it you can still use enchants quite effectively with this you just have to time them. It actually would work nicely with 1 or 2 enchats with a 20% longer scythe if they last longer than 10 seconds.

This might work
Mirage cloak
Mystic regeneration
vow of silence

thats 50% evade +9 regen and impervious to spells that doesnt sound too shabby to me.

you don't lose your enchants when you cast this. cast your enchants, then vow of slience.

Not at all. Some heals still work. Well of Blood, Healing Spring. Not to mention, you dont need a monk that badly. Put in Ritual Lord Rt, and that's quite a lot of protection already.

I quite like the Mirage Cloak-Mystic Regeneration idea.

Makes attackers have a hard time taking you down, and the enchants can't be stripped (your Vow of Silence sees to that!).

I guess an adrenal build working with this would be the best, say a Sword D/W since they don't need their elite so bad. No blinding flash, no hexes cast directly on you... can be quite worth it.

But you have to recast it often, and i don't think you can cast it before it ends, which might be a problem (won't their casters just be WAITING to interrupt it?)

The description says spells, not enemy spells. Does this mean your allies cannot cast on you either?

If you can't be the target of any spells (including those from allies), then wouldn't you have to wait until Vow of Silence ends before using it again?

Could always just use heal sig
