This is the D/Mo build I came up with during the preview weekend. I've given to a few people, so I thought I should post it before someone else laid claim to it - I spent the first two days of preview working most of the kinks out. It should probably have a snappy name. Special thanks to the other members of Team [SUAE] TA Extreme for letting me test this on them over and over
Skills:
Restore Conditions (elite)
Reversal of Fortune
Balthazar’s Spirit
Life Bond
Watchful Intervention
Pious Renewal
Imbue Health
Res Sig
Attributes:
Protection Prayers: 12
Mysticism: 12 (+4)
Scythe: 3 (the "extra" points)
Preferred Armor:
Mystic's Hood
Nomad's (everything)
Superior Mysticism Rune
Superior Vigor
Weapon Set:
Protection Staff(recharge/cast 20%) w/ +30 Health and +5 Energy
Zealous Scythe (Enchants +20%) - This is usually only useful when playing with an AoE smiter.
Game Plan:
Start by casting Reversal of Fortune and then Pious Renewal on yourself. Use Life Bond on all party members. Recast Reversal of Fortune and Pious Renewal on yourself, followed by Balthazar’s Spirit. Use Imbue Health carefully (consider its recharge time), and yourself and teammates with Watchful Intervention whenever possible. Use Reversal of Fortune after ever three casts or so, or whenever your energy is low - Life Bond will usually end it before 8 seconds passes. Cast Pious Renewal first if possible. This same tactic can be used to keep yourself alive if you are focused on, and provides plenty of energy to continue to heal allies with.
When working with an AoE Smiter, have them cast exclusively on you when possible. Use the scythe to stay near your target. Balthazar’s Spirit can easily be sacrificed if necessary, to account for the zealous mod. With the enchantments being cast on you, you shouldn't have to worry about running out of energy, just remember that your primary role in the group is still healer.
Finally, on maps that have a priest, you may find it helpful to bond him as well as your teammates if he is attacked. Standing near him should save you from needing to heal yourself much, and you should be able to deal with a negative energy pip without much issue (I've dealt with negative two and not really noticed any serious problems.)
Problems You Will Encounter:
1. This build does not provide for any health regen or hex removal, and no condition removal that can be used on yourself. Careful timing of Imbue Health and Watchful Intervention are key for deal with this problem on others, and the method of using Reversal of Fortune and Pious Renewal explained earlier is usually fast enough to resolve this on oneself.
2. If Reversal of Fortune is interrupted, you may run out of energy very quickly. Casting Pious Renewal and then ending Balthazar’s Spirit can provide an extra buffer should this happen.
3. Be prepared to reapply your Bonds mid-combat. Reversals of Fortune on yourself, then bond, and repeat usually works (and use Pious Renewal if you have the time)
