Thank you for your interest in the GWO Guild (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild:Gwonline_Guild).

We are a close-knit group of friends and players who promote a community-minded spirit while representing the GWOnline.net Guild Wars fansite. We take pride in being a friendly, cooperative guild, meaning we share when we can and freely help each other on quests, missions, skill-capping, and GvG battles, when possible. Help from GWO members is also generously extended to and received from other guilds, with whom we have formed friendships over the course of time. GWO exists for the good of its members and is run collectively by its membership. Basically, we promote the fun and fellowship of the game, encourage and help each other, and uphold the Guild Wars EULA.

Members are expected to behave with honor and courtesy toward others, both within and outside the Guild. Basically, GWO is a safe, friendly, and helpful place. With that in mind, say hello when you sign on and be sociable. Join a couple of groups doing missions or quests and enjoy yourself.



By applying for membership to the GWO Guild, you will be verifying that you have read the GWO Guild Rules (http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=414805), and agree to abide by them.

Application Procedure

After you post your application, and when space space is available, you will be contacted via private message (PM) on the website forums. After replying to the PM, you will be invited into the Guild in-game. Membership in GWO is initially given on a probationary basis of 30 days, during which the decision will be made by the Leadership if you will gain full Membership or not. If you are accepted, you will be given access to the Guild's private forum. At this time, you will be required to post your information in the Member Info thread.

Yes I've been a member of LWW, a nice and great Dutch guild, they are surely not the reason why I am looking for a new guild like GWO.

I want to get the feeling back I had before last summer.

Having a nice guild that respects all sorts of people, plays together and does lots of activities(if not, Í don't bother, but I think you do, so :P)

I would expect a friendly atmosphere, and at the same time a passion for the game. Also, I am looking for companions to PvX with :)

I prefer PvE, but occasionally I like to take a break and play TA, AB, HB.

I would love to be part of a regular team to explore dungeons or DoA. The 15k armor is a bonus. I like the challenge. I would also like to attain rank 2 in the Kind of a Big Deal title and have at least rank 3 gladiator.

Of course.

I like the combat system and the excellent graphics.

It's difficult to get a team together to adventure in areas such as DoA or Slaver's Exile. Full hero parties in these areas would be great.

The focus of the guild was AB/FFF. The members rarely played GW for enjoyment. I disliked this guild because there are so many other aspects of GW than owning Cavalon.

I would like to be a part of a friendly guild that enjoys all aspects of GW. As soon as I am in a position to, I would love to give back to that guild.

I think [GWO] is a big guild with friendly players. I also like to be up-to-date with the current news in GW and a guild that emerged from the best fanforum is the best for that I think.

A Dervish. I came to love the close combat skills (and Ursan with it) and it kinda grew that he became my title character.

I like any PvP, or pretty much doing anything as long as I am with nice and fun people.

Main goal is having a couple 15k armors with rare and expensive weapons and offhands, and having a couple maxed titles.

I like completing hard things with groups (like HM missions), PvPing, getting a really rare drop and being happy, and pretty much everything else.

I expect to get on 2-5 times a week for 2-5 hours a session, though having only recently returned to GW I can't be terribly certain if I'll keep to that at all.

My all-time favorite is mid-level GvG, but currently I'm looking for more hard mode PvE.

My current goal is getting "I'm Very Important" on my warrior, and possibly continuing that track. Concurrently earning gold for destroyer and tormented weapons. Possibly going for rank 9 eventually, but not anytime soon.

Winning a close match in GvG.

The utter degeneracy often encountered - most notably in the town and first 2-3 maps of Heroes Ascent, and scattered liberally through the major towns of PvE.

Currently nothing very seriously. Untold hundreds of games for a few hours a year.

Yes, I've been playing GW for three years and have been in 3-4 guilds for more then a day. Most recently Xen of Onslaught, XoO, where I monked for the GvG team. It was great, but I left to focus more on school and in the intervening time XoO's membership had a near-complete turnover. Added to that a desire to be quite a bit less active then my last adventure with GW and I don't know that XoO is the right guild for me anymore.

9. Why are you interested in joining the GWO Guild?
I know people in several people spread out through half the guilds in the GWO alliance and I believe GWO most coincides with my current wants from GW.

10. What are your expectations as a member of the GWO Guild?
I expect to find a group every once in a while for HM missions, vanquishing, and elite dungeons.

11. What character do you play the most and why?
In PvE I play my warrior the most. When titles came out I decided I wanted a few of them, and that the warrior was the quickest way - mapping tyria. After KoaBD became a goal my warrior was the first to hand, and by now I've so much time invested in titles for him that it'd be a challenge to switch. I've also grown to like him as a commander of heroes.

In PvP I almost exclusively monk on my PvE monk (who is of course decked out in every piece of gear I would have on a PvP monk as determined in two years of monking for GvG). I have some experience with every roll in GvG except flag runner (including tactical lead for a split, and *very* rarely target caller), and every profession (UAX) and common build of the last several years in HA (r6)... but most of all monk.

12. What kind of biscuit would you be?
One who's most notable feature was its complete and utter lack of gravy. Take of that what you will.

Pie - I've learned to not trust the *concept* of cake. Also, while instant cake mix with store-bought frosting may be better then a McDonalds apple pie, a cherry-rubarb pie made of fresh cherry and rubarb is *far* better then a professionally made cake.

In the beginning of GW, I was in MoP (Masters of Puppets), but that guild died out due to inactivity. After that, we started a guild with some real life friends and family called Bonkers United. I was Officer, and Guildleader for a while, but it wasn't really possible to get things organised, though I tried. With mostly 2 or 3 people online at the same time, it's difficult to accomplish something. The guild still exists, but only 4 to 5 people are active now and then.

9. Why are you interested in joining the GWO Guild?
Because it looks like a mature and friendly guild, with lots of members and lots of stuff to do and participate in.

10. What are your expectations as a member of the GWO Guild?
I only hope for an active guild, that has a lot of stuff going on, so I don't have to play with henchies anymore, and that I can really experience some high level area play.

A ranger. I played a ranger during beta testing of guildwars, and though I tried a lot of other professions and builds, I'll always go back to my first type of character. A ranger is quite versatile.

- Because BoS was getting inactive we decided to pull it from the alliance in order to make room for amore active guild to fill the ranks. Since we liked GWO so much we found it a good idea to have our active members team up with the cool members here ^_^

I try to play as much as possible, which usually means at least 1 hour a day. So the answer is 7+ hours.

Well, im sort of done with most of the titles in NM, so im moving onto the HM titles because i want to max some. I also enjoy socialising with others whilst doing this.

Id like to max as many titles as possible, run fairly large ingame events and try and get that max rank in the max titles title.

Because im interested in Hard Mode, and hard mode usually requires help, I would do what i could to help people in missions and quests.

Ive been a member of many guilds. In most of the alliances, i didnt recieve any help with things and when they kicked me for stupid reasons they got their players to look me up on the internet and abuse me for months

Its GWO guild we are talking about here! On a serious note, i saw the borthday party and other events you hold. You know, that sort of brought me in.

A bit of help with HM stuff like vanquisher, guardian etc. Someone trustworthy, kind, honest, and someone who is good to talk to.

Prepare To Burn, my elementalist, because i like burning things (only ingame, thank god) and burning things (ingame) is much easier than stuff like healing as a monk. Its just easier to kill things for HM stuff.

With the times im on, not unless its Hard Mode, a dungeon, or I really have no desire to do anything else. Then I just become another hero.

The timeframe between Beta World Event and spring of '06.

'06 till now. Anet discovered the Nerf Bat. Nerfs tend to be overnerfs. Loot scaling. Lack of suitable rewards that would have made Loot Scaling look rediculous(chests for missions, missions to gain priveledged items, etc). The huge devide between competent players and those who still think Nuking is good in Hard Mode.

7. What other games do you play apart from Guild Wars?
Right about now, nothing. COuld be Company of Heroes, The Witcher, or Fallout 3 if I ever get around to buying it. Other than that, boot up Baldur's Gate and all is well again.

I was actually a member of GWO back when Chantal and others were around.(Oldschool guy, I know.) It was a good time, but most of the players bored me. Oh well, reboot?

Grassroots guild thats been around forever. Site is downsized, but I still remember good times in the forums and in game.

Hopefully a larger fan base of Mesmers that will be ready to learn my secrets to filling the chest in less than a day without farming dungeons(Though I wanna do more of that).
