i was interested in the new weapon skins for chap 3, a also wanted to see what kind of inspiration anet could use

i just simply googled african weapons and look what i found

looks like a scyth :) now i know that syths are a common tool and weapon and everyone has seen one but at least anet have hit the nail on the head

Most true African tribes use low tech weapons. I doubt people in the game would want to use a spear with a sharpened rock on the end of it. Now northern Africa, such as Egypt, had very advanced weapons. So it really depends on which part you are referring to.

It would be the same as if we had American Indian weapons in the game.
