Not being on Vent or TS can be a big hassle. You can't call spikes at all, and your coordination will be horribly lacking. If you guys do have mics but don't want to pay for a vent or ts, my guild used the program Skype in the beginner days. Its free, and easy to use. No hassle at all.
And one of the first builds we ran consisted of
3 tanks
2 air spikers
2 monks
1 flagger
We used a Bull Charge, Eviscerate, Dev hammer. You can arrange the tanks as you wish. Air spikers are self explanatory. We had a B-Light and Boon Prot, I don't know what you guys can do. Flagger was a water/air hybrid with blinding flash, ice prison, ice spikes.
Don't worry about your first losses, its going to happen for sure. You really should work on getting some voice chat.
A simple build:
1xMo/Mes
Reversal of Fortune
Divine Boon
Holy Veil
Guardian
Mend Condition
Protective Spirit
Mantra of Recall
Inspired Hex
1xMo/Mes
Reversal of Fortune
Divine Boon
Holy Veil
Guardian
Spirit Bond
Mend Condition
Mantra of Recall
Inspierd Hex
Just two basic boonprots - should be fine until you get to a higher level and require something more specialised
1 x Wa/Mes
Dragon Slash
Sever Artery
Gash
Bulls Strike
Frenzy
Rush
Endure Pain
Rez Signet
A heavy damage Adrenaline sword warrior - get him to latch onto a monk and continue to attack it - if guardian comes up, switch to another target. You should have a very nice DPS so just keep putting it out as often as possible. Endure Pain is if you overextend and may die, make sure your warriors know to run back to a healer if they have to use Endure Pain.
1 x Wa/Mes
Devastating Hammer
Crushing Blow
Fierce Blow
Bulls Strike
Frenzy
Rush
Endure Pain
Rez Signet
Sit on a monk - if he starts casting important, long cast spells, interrupt him with a KD - just keep pounding him with attacks, bullstrike him if he runs away. Endure Pain is if you overextend and may die, make sure your warriors know to run back to a healer if they have to use Endure Pain. You can spike with the Sword warrior if totally necessary, although that does require voice communication.
1 x Ne/Mes
Dark Fury
Tainted Flesh
Rotting Flesh
Blood Renewal
Distortion (3 attri points)
Power Drain
Drain Enchantment
Rez Signet
Just maintain Dark Fury when you can, whilst keeping up Tainted on the party - remember to use your energy elites if you're low, and should they try to interrupt him use Distortion to dodge any interrupts.
1 x Mo/El
Reversal of Fortune
Guardian
Air of Enchantment
Balthazar's Aura
Glyph of Sacrifice
Ressurection Chant
Zealots Fire
Judge's Insight/Smite Hex
Smite off the hammer warrior unless another character gets bodyblocked. You're the hardrezzer, if someone drops, try to use his rez to get people up as it doesnt cost a signet and is an equivilant heal. Just spam skills onto the warrior, but try not to run out of energy at the same time. Keep up Judge's Insight if possible
1 x Ra/Mes
Crippling Shot
Apply Poison
Savage Shot
Distracting Shot
Distortion
Dodge
Debilitating Shot
Troll Unguent
The runner, use Dodge to get a speed buff then distortion when you're actually running to the flagstand and under attack. Crippling Shot + Apply should allow you to easily snare most people who try to kill you.
1 x Ele/Mo
Deep Freeze
Ice Spikes
Blinding Flash
Ether Prodigy
Gale
Heal Party
Extinguish
Rez Signet
Snare more... Just spam Deep Freeze/Ice spikes on monks and warriors. Use gale to interrupt important skills (like ressurect). If the team needs healing, spam heal party, use extinguish to remove conditions. Simple :)
The Necro and Ele can play without voice comms, as can the warriors to an extent. I'd advise you to get voice comms as soon as possible though. You'll lose the first few matches, but learn what the weaknesses of the build are and take those people down first. You do a lot of damage, and quite a few conditions, so remember to abuse that fact. If they have an emo, try to take him out or at least interrupt the heal party/extinguish so he can't heal.
The Ele/mo and the Ra/Mes can swap roles, so the Ele is a runner (drop rez Signet for Armour of Mist and Gale for Healing Breeze) and the Ranger is a flagstand poison spammer (Drop Troll Unguent for Rez Signet and you can drop Dodge for something, although its useful). That'll give you more damage at the flagstand which is good, but it will not give you stronger healing + blinds.
Hope it was useful, pm me if ya need anything else
