Excellent. I bet if we look around Prophecies and Factions again, we will find many little hints that we missed because we weren't looking for them. Although I think the Lore Forum has found many already.

the purple warp gate in the pic is the same as the one in Tomb of the Primeval Kings. So...we might have a clue of who attacked ToPK

It was more or less revealed that the attacks on the Dragon Festival and the ToPK were caused by this new god.

OT:
To quote, just but the name of the user in the brackets with the quote. It will look like this [QUOTE=username] and then use the end quote bracket [/ QUOTE] without the space between the "/" and "QUOTE".

i completly agree
been saying that since the new god was mentiond.
i think the area is part of the realm of torment were the new god is said to be trapped.
it has the crazy baren wasteland look that other pics of the realm of torment have.
also would anyone other than me go as far as to guess thats how an evil gd creates a "hole" in the rift so stuff can pass through. like in the ToPK
That's definitely a Chaos Rift.
I maintain that it's Dhuum.

All the hints point to Dhuum at this point, don't forget that ABADDON might be the same thing as DHUUM!

hmm...well yes all the evidence point to Dhuum. But there has to be something that might say "well it's not him.."
anyone found any information that might point to another God? that might even make us wonder whether we can suspect somebody else? beacause, as i said in other posts, ANet developing a plot so easily predictable is not a good style. There has to be something we must've missed. Although i doubt there was any info of what would happen in Cantha from Prophecies lore.
edit: i took a closer look at the pillars shown in the screenie. they look like being made of obsidian to me. also, the style is uw/fow-ish....and has something from the fire islands chain too. imo it's a mixture of these 3 realms.

Yes, remember, while evidence may support the Dhuum theory, it has also not been confirmed. While I personally feel it is likely, I also think it is important to remember that we simply don't know for sure yet.

Anet, must be laughing from us now, we here trying by all means possible get a god that fixes in all of the facts, but i'd rather point a bit to Dhuum!

Perhaps this isnt the place to post this; but the Realm of Torment is actually part of the underworld.
Evidence for this is to be found in the quest description for the underworld quest: Imprisoned Spirits.

Some of the stuff I circled I think is something we should take note of. Especially the portal-looking place to the right of the hand coming out of the portal. I have no idea if it has any significance, but if it's an area-portal then I would have to say that the Realm of Torment might be really...large.
The other two things I circled are Crystal Desert bridges, while we're bound to see alot of those in Elona it just caught my eye..

I agree. From PCgamer November issue talks how the Realm of Torment is "...an other-worldly zone that exists outside of physical space..."
I would imagine we will be entering and exiting a lot of portals in this area of the game. There are other parts of the realm also as the mag refers to the part called the "flesh level".
I am going to love this place :D.

Is it the HAND OF GOD? :)
I just wonder, is the green ball a prison or a portal.
If the Realm of Torment is a part of the Underworld, then this would be a portal to another plane.
It also looks as if the green hand is grabbing the purple ball/portal.

I am not sure that the Realm is part of the Underworld.
But what is sure, is that mystical places out of space and time, like Underworld, Fissure of Woe, and the Hall of Heroes are all in the Rift.
Or the Rift is a portal to those places.

Depends, if that "Pit" is another portal to the Realm of torment, you can't know because you can't jump into it

Grenth intervening and ridding his realm of a few of Dhuum/Sixth God's unnecessary cobwebs?

That quest gives us a new perspective of the old most accepted theory, now as for me(i'm kind of a noob xD) the thing is that both Vizier and Shiro, met with ABADHUUM, at the realm of torment, as u can go to the other campaing, mostly at the point u start to figure how things are going to roll in the campaing(lions - kaineng and vice-versa), and turned into powerful minios of ABADHUUM, they failed on theirs caimpaing, that's what i think!

Agreed. The two objects may be completely unrelated in reality.
