Celestial Tournament Announced

The next competitive event for Guild Wars is the largest PvP tournament we've ever hosted. It's call the Celestial Tournament, and this GvG event offers an extensive list of both real-world and in-game prizes. In addition, the community at large will be invited to join in the final playoffs via the Xunlai Tournament House system. Registration begins immediately and runs through 11:00 a.m. PST (19:00 GMT) on February 14th. I'm pretty psyched about this - the only issue that worries me is trying to organize the matches. I expect there'll be some big problems with the scheduling etc...

As for the prizes - I gotta say I'm impressed. Seeing as this is NOT the world champs it's pretty sweet that they are giving out RL prizes.


Oh and mels - flare got a buff... I wanna see flareway :laugh:

yeah our guild is signing up for this. The only thing i dont like, is that you can only register a roster of 8 maxium. This makes scheduling a little awkward, and you need reliable people with regards times and stuff. Would of much preffered a roster of 10. :huh:

That's a pretty common sentiment across the boards Dazz, I'm hoping Anet changes that rule before the 14th...

ANET may not change it for the fact every guild is eligible. So ya know, 10,000 guilds sign up and all resricting it to only 8 man could lower the number. Kind of doesnt make sense on my end but who knows. More the merrier. lolz
