"Your name will live on for a thousand years" - old smelly bag based on MacBeth witches.

Discuss.

We know nothing of the GW:EN storyline yet... how many of these threads will you create 4 months before the game is even out on the shelves?

Just the 2 - and cheers for noticing!

Speculate to accumlate (or something)

I'm just curious as to how it will all go.

So is just about everybody, and the only way to find out is to wait until it arrives. Threads like this arn't really lore, they're just random thoughts that have just about no tie to the game.

I'll join the dots.

Soothsayer says a thousand years, gw2 set in a couple of hundred years.

Why or how is Shiro going to be involved.

If this isn't part of the lore - then all the specualtion about anything outside of an evidence context is nullified.

I can appreciate however that it is all guesswork based on no evidence as yet - but are there clues, anything that might bring Shiro forward in the future?

I ask you well versed folk if there is anything to start to work from.

PS. I only ask as I just did the Welcome to Cantha quest and watched the scene.

Well let's see now. Shiro was originally a good man, working honestly to protect the Emperor, but he was always a violent one. Not evil, but violent.

Now that the reason he was corrupted is gone, and he himself is dead, there's no reason to bring him back- or for him to be evil. He's just another dead guy.

There's always a chance that some plot twist will bring him back, but you could say the same of many, MANY characters.

We just have nothing to go on.

His name will live on. (And his weapons.. hehe..) Nothing else.
Historybooks anyone?

No, that's not a good idea. It's one thing when you have something to go on, but until we know more about this, it is irresponsible to leave this thread open.
