Here is a thought, and I would like something like this implemented.

I know Anet has said "no" to selecting title screens from any of the previous releases stating "that would be like technologically going back in time." I agree. However, I don't believe they will be releasing anything else for the classic GW once GW2 comes out. Instead of staggnating the title screen at EotN which would get old, please let us select the title screen at that point.

I thought it was more a case that they couldn't (because they'd need to redo them from scratch or something) than that they would look pants compared to the current GW:EN one. :huh:

In all honesty, though, I'm all for an overhaul of the char select screen. The current one and the method of scrolling through characters is somewhat clumsy.

I kinda like the idea of seeing my char and being able to do a panoramic look at them from time to time...
Perhaps some statistics would be cool...
Id like to hear what you think about the over haul and some of your ideas though.

I would prefer to not have to look at that cold, wintry Eye of the North background for the rest of the time. Seriously, my characters are going to get pneumonia.

I'd like a few different options you could choose from, just for the background. Off course I have no idea how hard that might be, but it'd be neat.

More statistics would be interesting as well. The date your character was created for example is a must-have in my opinion. Ever noticed how loooooong that last month before your character's birthday lasts? At least I wouldn't be checking an 11- or 23- months old character every day to see if it's been her birthday yet.

I like the idea of the calendar, I have been there several times waiting that last week or so before my chars birthday.... I was just thinking a title screen with my ele (hot as she is) laying on the beach with a beach ball... however I wouldn't want to game after log in.... kinda counter productive if you ask me.

didn't they say at one point that guild wars and guild wars 2 would share the same client ?

By the way... this is actually a GW1 suggestion... :undecided:

An underwater scene maybe? :grin:

i've looked in the start screen on how it could work, and i see a solution.
copy/paste all the codes from one background to the other and make an up-to-date code that let's you choose a BGM.(back ground music)
the only background screen that isn't possible in it's current form is the first one, a.k.a ascalon.
