Are there any plans for making GW2 available with a Mac?? I guess you can use crossover and stuff anyway, but still, it would be very handy..

Would be great if they do, but I'm going for a Mac Pro anyways Ape... I'll just run windows on a partition.

Getting my 24inch display next week.. I'll run my Powerbook thru it first... then get my Mac Pro next month. Can't wait!!!

Yes please, native *nix support would cause many geeks to shed tears of joy.
Also related, the GW2 on Linux thread (http://guildwars.incgamers.com/showthread.php?t=449555).

It's nice that pretty much all personal computers use the same hardware these days. Crossing OS lines has always been a bane, though. Well, if Blizzard could do it, I'm sure Anet can.

id Software is also doing it - their technology demo for id Tech 5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id_Tech_5)was shown first on Mac hardware at WWDC. On top of that, every game of theirs since at least Quake 2 on has run on Win, Linux, and OSX.
That's the advantage of developing in OpenGL. So what's the problem? ..GW uses Direct3d.

It'd be cool to see GW2 in OpenGL - this'd make porting it incredibly easy.

Nevertheless, Wine's DX support is making great strides and Anet may, at some point, be able to offer a Linux download, which would be GW2 + Wine in one package.
