Any news on a system like what Far Cry 2/Crysis has that could be put in GW2? I think it would be really cool to have a real-time wind cycle along with destructible brush/trees.
I've checked everywhere for the new engine there using but have found nothing.

With the minimum system specifications that were originally mentioned, I doubt it. I'm not sure how to nicely ask how this would enhance the actual game play of GW2 at all....
I could see destructible objects being applicable, but eye candy is not something I want to trade for one ounce of better game play.

I'd vouch for a day / night cycles, but not destructables. With the day / night cycles, you could get a dramatically different color palette every time and that's always a good thing.

The level of interaction you have with the environment is also being notched up a fair few gears - you’ll be able to jump up and down without the aid of a console command, break stuff and set things on fire - while environmental clutter will react should your weapon, intentionally or unintentionally, smash through it. The zones you fight through, meanwhile, will be made even more vivid by the interaction of the environment at large with the entire player-base in the area.
I have practically(not literally obviously) memorized most of these dang little articles and most that include the environment discussion also include something like the above.
