I would like to be able to use two displays. One to show where I am going and one where I can put the mission map, hero (companion) stats and other information that you want to display.

Would be an interesting feature, but probably not a priority given that most users don't have dual displays.

I've got it! The best promotion.

"Buy Guild Wars 2 with dual monitor support, and get a free monitor!"

What could go wrong? ^_^

(seriously, I would like to see dual monitor support. But I do also see that they may not do this due to lack of demand -- not sure the feature would pay for the time it'd take to develop)

would be better if they made HD support, so i can play it best on my tv screen.(32" FTW :P)

Both HD and multi display support would be awesome.

I run dual screens btw. With GW windowed on one, and TS (and sometimes the wiki) on the other. =)

It's down to your video card to have TV support.
Guild Wars already supports it.

the support of tv output and HD support is a tad apart, it's the same as comparing a VGA output with a DVI output.
the output is in almost every game these day's, HD support is all about high quality screen quality.

I think I would rather see "detachable" modules that you could move around your screen. That way, you could just move the modules to the other screen (if you have one) or move them outside of your window, just to clear up the game screen.

The type of thing that I am talking about is rather like the toolbars in Macromedia Dreamwaver used to be...click on an icon, the toolbar "detaches" from the main window and you can float it around the screen.

Not sure if it would work in this case, but it would be cool.

by the way, the only way to have DS support right now is when you buy a 'Dualhead 2Go' from Matrox. This is a $299 box that you plug into your graphics card. It has one VGA input and 2 VGA / DVI outputs for 2 displays. It basically 'fools' your computer into thinking that there is a huge display connected and then splits the signal into 2 parts.

For instance, if you have 2 monitors with 1,680 x 1,050 resolution each, you would run one virtual monitor at 3,360 x 1,050 resolution. The maximum it can run is 3,840 x 1,200.

This works in Windows and in any Windows based program. Is it worth the money...? You decide for yourself.

dual display would work awful anyway, your character is just there where the split is.
i think quatro display is better in this case, and have single display as basic display.(you don't want to play a character-less game now do you)

Not necessarily.
If Guild Wars allowed you to move windows onto a second screen, you could have for example, your chat window displayed separately from the main game.

Being able to display to an HD capable montior/TV is totally up to your video card and your monitor/TV...it has NOTHING to do with the display modes supported by a game (tho, older games wouldn't have Widescreen support). My $125 video card has HDMI and component support...HD it's quite common on video hardware now. Computer resolutions have been rivaling HD resolution for a few years as well.
