This Week on IncGamers 3-9 June

It’s that time of year again game fans, it’s E3! The main incgamers.com site team are going to be flat-out next week from Monday when all the E3 conferences kick off. No doubt many of you will be soaking up as much game info as you can over the next seven days, whether you’re a PC or console gamer. Before the madness begins, let’s take a quick look back at last week’s PC gaming goodness.

In the week in which John Riccitiello has announced his resignation as CEO at EA, the question on everybody’s lips in the IncGamers Podcast is: how exactly do you pronounce his name? We’ve done our best to assess his reign at the head of EA; from the early days of getting Dead Space and Mirror’s Edge off the ground, to the anti-consumerist practices that now define the company.

Speaking of which – it’s SimCity! Yes, the debate and discussion that surrounds this game is rumbling ever onward. We’re in on it too.Elsewhere, Battlefield 4 has been teased with erotic rain imagery and Saints Row IV has shown off some naked car surfing in a recent trailer. Guild Wars 2 Wins Best MMO in IncGamers 2012 Readers Awards

Leading up to Christmas, the main IncGamers.com site ran a vote for readers to vote for their best games of 2012 best mmo award in numerous categories.

The voting was pretty tight in all categories but Guild Wars 2 shone through beating out competition from World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, The Secret World, EVE Online: Retribution, TERA and Planetside 2.

Congratulations to ArenaNet as Guild Wars 2 was voted as the best MMO of 2012. The full results for all the categories can be found here.

Vote in the IncGamers 2012 Readers’ Awards for Best MMO

Readers Awards

All this week the incgamers.com 2012 Readers’ Awards are taking place giving gamers the chance to vote for their favourite games in multiple categories. Today the MMO category is being voted for and Guild Wars 2 is included in the shortlist. Gamers are now being invited to vote in multiple categories so hop to it everyone.

Other categories currently open for voting include Best RPG, Best Sport, Best Strategy and Best Adventure. More will be opened up for voting this week.

It’s been another busy week here on IncGamers with a few bits and pieces we wanted to bring to your attention.

We have launched a new site focusing on Wargaming’s titles World of Tanks and the upcoming World of Warplanes and World of Battleships. If you’re a fan of the series then do pop over and check this out. On the site there is also part 1 of a special video report from Dorjan who hooked up with the Wargaming team at the Bovington TankFest last week.

This Week on IncGamers

E3 is now over and the guys on the main IncGamers.com site are certainly relieved its done and dusted for another year. In case you missed any of the cracking content here’s some of the articles you should check out.

From today we are also giving away Beta keys for this weekend’s The Secret World beta test. TSW is the upcoming MMORPG from Funcom which is a little out of the ordinary when it comes to MMOs. No leveling, no classes and it’s set in a modern-day world. Site supporters (PALS) are guaranteed a key and they can find out details in the PAL forum on how to get a key.

Last week we also moved the site into a new content system so we can plan for future features a little better so make sure you pop over to the site on your daily videogame news rounds.

Diablo: IncGamers Celebrates 15 Years of Service

While this is not Guild Wars news as such, without the Diablo: IncGamers site GWOnline would not be here today. ArenaNet would also be one staff member less as Diablo: IncGamers is where Gaile started her journey in the industry. The 15th Anniversary article is walk down memory lane looking back at how the IncGamers sites started and it’s a great read if you want to know more about the people behind this site. There are also some great shots going back as far as 1997 when it all began. Read the article right here.
