View Full Version : names names names
inspired by the cyborg thread, ive decided to post two interesting links for generating names ( my apologies if this has alread been done lol )
Elves and Hobbits
http://www.chriswetherell.com/elf/
Ors and Goblins
http://www.paper-dragon.com/fantasyland/orcname.html
I used my real name for these
Orcish of goblish name: buyundywipe ( frankly i find that insulting )
Elvish name: whaddaya know, Turgon Oronra...
Hobbit name: Orgulas Smallburrows of Sandydowns ( still sounds insulting...)

Elven name: Arwen Nénmacil
Hobbit Name: Zelda Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood
funny stuff...
Hmmm. My Elfen name leaves something to be desired:
Orophin Ringëril
Now my Hobit name is doable. Look...Im friggin Sancho here...and a Baggins...I wonder what makes Baggins pull up....I have a distant relative in a trilogy!:
Sancho Sackville-Baggins
I didnt bother with the Org/Goblin one because its simply a preset list of names that it cycles through...not very creative.
Still though...I would make a good Hobbit. Thats a good name. And I allready have the hair feet :flip: :D
Elf: Eö Séregon
Hobbit: Lardo Brockhouse of Loamsdown (not so nice!)
Someone should start up a thread with everyone's character names and how they created them. I will tomorrow if I feel like it :)
