Occasionally, and for no reason I have taken the time yet to determine, I seem to lose my cookies for these forums.

I will read a bunch of threads, and lose the "new thread" arrow and etc., then I get back to the forum index and all the threads I have gone through show as having new posts (bold text, new post indicator etc.), but there is nothing new there.

Anyone else get this? Anyone have any ideas as to why it happens?

Most of the Posts that I read and such, do not get bold or anything. Well, its all random like. Some are bold, some are plain. The arrow thing, most are arrowed. If you delete your cookie, dont you have to relog in? (Input User/Pass)
If not, I dont think it has to do with your cookies, just the forum itself.

It actually isnt random. Bolded threads are ones that have been posted in since your last visit. When a thread is posted in, it is bumped to the top of the forum. It is frowned upon when someone intentionally bumps their on thread, fyi and for furture reference.

The cookie contains your login info and determines when you last visited the site. It sounds Charnel, that for some reason or another yours is being deleted periodically. Perhaps its your browser settings.

Yeah, it could be something in SP2 that messes with it. Was just wondering if anyone else was having the same issue.
