Just thought I would post this idea and see what people thought about it.
Is there intrest in creating a DII Rare skill list?
As is which members have what rare skills? (by rare I mean non-trainable, or perhaps the more difficult to get to trainers)
The idea being, if there is a particular build you want to try, you might not have to search and spend alot of time hunting for skills if someone already has it.
You just offer them the crafting materials to create it, and a tip for taking the time to make it for you, and you get your skill.
Unless you just want to ask Xirc for it...
Anyone intrested?

I think this is a good idea, however I think it would be better if instead of having a million posts, if Xircon or Kaz could come by and see the posts, add them to the first thread, and keep a running, one-post list and just delete any other posts, that would prolly be more organized, so we know whats current.
For this next Beta i'll be looking for Glimmering Mark, but I can buy that from Aire once I get the cash :)

Yes, I can do that. Even better, I will keep the list on the website for quick reference.

Hehehe! I have Glimmering Mark already!
So this list is already working!
What I want is Life Bond...
By the way, who's Aire? and how comes he/she has all the rare skills? Thx.

Aire is just a forumgoer, huge on elementalists. That may be the only profession that Aire plays, but he/she has gained respect as an Elementalist critic and has an rpgtraders shop with i think every rare elementalist skill.

I know these are both trainable, but i cant remember how difficult they were to get. I really dig these two skills of mine:
Barrage
Power Drain
I know Saffron has Barrage as well.
Great idea
As long as the crafting (or majority of it) i'd be happy to give the skills away for free, after all we are a guild, would a charge really be nessecary? :uhhuh:

Hello, if you haven't seen me around, I just applied today, and I hope i'll make the guild. :D
I was always wondering why ppl charge so much for skills that cost very little to make. I've got a Mark of Rodgort (elementalist) on my old character (won't be using it) if anyone wants it in their build.
If i'm not mistaken, skill rings usually go for 100g, which is quite expensive if your just starting. I would guess that this would be the major problem with learning new spells. Or do you just use the necklace?
Anyways, I'm looking for ether renewal, and it's being sold for 100g for some odd reason, probably cause it's rare, even though it doesn't cost anywhere near that much to craft.

Rings are not a problem. They are common enough to find. Why sell skills for gold? Because you can and people pay it. Some people have spent several hundreds of gold to gamble on a skill and want to re-coop the loss.
