Ishnu-alah (welcome), friend!
Welcome to the Quel’argarath! We aim to be a sanctuary for blood elf and high elf fans. Because neither blood nor high elves are playable, we want to provide those who would like to play one nevertheless (as a disguised human or night elf) with a place to go to and have fun. We also welcome any night elf players, who want to play a demon hunter, despised by his kin, because of his use of arcane magic. If you always loved the Quel’dorei or are enthralled by arcane magic, this is your guild!
We are a casual guild of people interested in RP and playing a great game which is WoW. For us the key is having fun by roleplaying our favourite race while interacting with other players in-game. We promote a friendly attitude to other gamers and guilds to ensure everyone are having fun, but still upholding some general and RP rules.
Guild Description (concerning RP):
We are a group of Blood Elves and High Elves who aim to reunite all the Quel'dorei and rebuild our lost civilization. Therefore we are searching for a strong magical source in Azeroth, which we could use to build a new Sunwell. As we are loathed by most other races on Azeroth we have to carry out our mission in secret. Therefore our leaders evoked a powerful ritual spell which allows every member of the Quel’Argarath, after taking the oath of fealty, to change his appeareance into that of a human or night elf. We want to uphold the atmosphere of desperation and vengeance that was typical for the "arcane elves" in TFT as they struggle for survival. Having both blood and high elves in the guild both sides have to accept each other's way. Therefore we will be a somewhat neutral guild. We have to work in secret, affiliated with the Alliance, until we become strong enough to persue our goals openly. To gather strength we lend help to any blood or high elf in peril, and also accept any night elf, who uses arcane magic (like demon hunters) who are hold in contempt for their ways by their kin. While our long term goal is to rebuild our civilization from the ashes of defeat, our short term goals are fighting the Scourge in former Quel'Thalas, searching for powerful magical artifacts and gaining as much information as we can about the recent developments in Azeroth.
Note
As the blood elves and high elves are not playable in the initial release all members have to play humans or night elves. The classes are restricted to the ones high or blood elves could use, which excludes the shaman, druid and paladin. We are above all a RPG guild which aims to provide a setting for people who want to play arcane magic using elves. But we also will take part in raiding parties or guild wars along the Alliance side, especially against the undead. We provide quests for guild entrée and promotion within the guild. We will also actively search for quests concerning blood and high elven NPCs. And we plan to build our guild hall in former Quel'Thalas, now the Plaguelands, so there will also be ample opportunity for PvP.
Guild requirements (overall and RP):
1. Because we’re a blood elf, high elf and naga guild, there is an restriction to roleplaying blood/high/half elves, or naga, although we also accept arcane magic using night elves (like demon hunters). Also we are restricted to classes which are probably playable for blood elves, high elves and naga, which excludes druids, shamans, paladins.
2. Both RP and PVP players are welcome, but be aware that at the moment we are more a guild of casual players and the main focus is on the RP aspect of the game. Because of our agenda, we’ll be mainly adventuring in and out of human (or night elven) cities and trying to get in the area around former Quel’thalas, Dalaran or other spots of arcane magic.
3. As we are disguised as Alliance members we will battle the Horde if necessary to uphold our disguise, but the main enemies are demons and the Scourge and Forsaken, which should usually be attacked on sight.
Races allowed (in concerns of RP):
High/Blood Elves (diguised as Humans or Night Elves)
Night Elves (pro-arcane magic)
Nagas (disguised as Humans or Night Elves)
NOTE:
Just so everyone knows, in Blizzard's recent Warcraft RPG Book, Magic and Mayhem, there was a short story about Blood Elves disguised as humans capturing a Pitlord, so that means Quel'argarath's motives are actually abiding lore. This is the story...

"Welcome, my son. Come in. Bask in the glory of the Light." The priestsmiled at the penitent and moved aside to let the younger man enter. Verius returned the smile, ducked his head and moved into the chapel. A massive stain glass window depicting a Knight of the Silver Hand battling a demon dominated the shrine. The paladin depicted looked pious and fierce, but Verius would put his gold on the demon. "I am father Rammal," said the priest, still smiling through his short, gray beard. His clear blue eyes glittered with kindness. "Is there anything in particular I can do for you, my son? Or have you come simply to pay your respects?" Verius removed his heavy leather gloves and slapped them against his hand. He glaced around the empty pews. "Attendence looks rather slim today, father." "Yes, there have been fewer and fewer faithful of late. One would think that our triumph over the foul demons would bring more to our doorstep. But in fact it seems to be doing just the opposite. I cannot understand it." Verius could. He quickly turned his face away so that the priest would not see the red that suddenly flashed from his eyes. As cunning as his spells were, his true nature sometimes bled through. "Actually father," he said, pretending to examine the window, "there is something I would like. They tell me that you are in charge of recommending new warriors for inclusion in the Order of the Knights of the Silver Hand. I would like such a recommendation." The smile faded from Father Rammal's face for the briefest of moments. "But, my son. I do not even know your name. I have never seen you before. How am I to know if you are a man who truly walks in the Light? Though I do not doubt your sincerity, I need atleast several months before...." The old man's words trailed off as Verius turned, his eyes burning now with their true nature revealed - a pair of orange-red orbs, with fire surrounding slit pupils. The eyes caught Father Rammal. The eyes held the priest fast and subsumed him. The eyes, the demonic eyes, blasted all thought from the old man's mind. "No, human." Verius spat the word. "I think you have known me for long enough to make your judgement, haven't you?" The priest nodded mechanically. "Now, you will go to your superiors and tell them---"The door to the sanctum opened and a young elven women backed into the chapel, leading a cleaning cart. "Father, I have finished with--" She gasped when she saw Verius. He blinked, his eyes returning to their human guise. Father Rammal groaned and wavered. Verius turned and smiled at the newcomer. "Greetings, I was speaking with Father Rammal about joining the paladin order." "Liar!" The women shouted. Her voice thundered throughout the room. She drew an amulet from her robes and thrust it skyward. It pulsed with a red-gold glow. "I know you for what you are, demon!" Even as she spoke, Verius felt his disguise melting away -- his form lengthening, magnifying, until he filled half the small chapel. His massive, slug-like body pressed against the door, but Verius laughed, undaunted. "and what of it, mortal? Surely youdid not seek to save this." Gargantuan muscles rippled as the pit lord flicked Father Rammal against a wall -- or would have, if his arm had not been blasted back. Verius turned in shock to see the priest enveloped by a blue glow."You have made a mistake, creature!" shouted Rammal. His beard shortened until it sank into his face, his skin smoothed and changed, his ears lengthened and pointed. Golden hair tumbled to his shoulders. His priestly garments fell away, revealing a robe of red and black."But we are glad of it," smirked the women, reaching for her belt. "For it has been too long since we feasted on your kind."Verius roared as the blood elves fell upon him.Magic and Mayhem - pages 11-12
Guild requirements (in-game):
1. Main character on Burning Blade (euro PvP server). We are based on an european english server and so we would like members to come from there.
2. Character level 15+
Races: Human, Night Elf
Classes: All except for Paladin and Druid.
3. Serious attitude to our guild. Altough we are casual gamers and Rpers we would like our members to act in a mature way to ensure everybody have fun playing the game. Also we would like our members to be friendly and honorable towards other members and players. We don’t accept ganking, griefing, RP Nazism or other simliar behaviour and we don’t want such people in our guild.
4. People joinging our guild cannot be part of a different guild within the game. Although we do not support the member “I own you” attitude, we know that if one person is in two guilds it may cause conflicts of interest and unable this person to have fun.
