when i go to try to update guildwars, it just sits at connecting to arena.net forever, is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

its a really big download, so maybe you just need to give it more time? How long have you let it sit there?

With all the people trying to insure that they have the most up to date version of the game client, you might of caught the server being a bit swamped. Usually from about 6 hours prior to the 12:01 AM start time until the servers have been up for a bit, the connection traffic is worse than rush hour in any major city.
