full inventory/quest item

I was doing the Kings Message quest in ascalon city after the Academy, had full inventory when he was trying to give me the Message, and I didnt have room....when I talked to him again he would'nt give it to me...

So i was stuck with the quest, without the quest item.

I had the same problem on another quest. In pre-ravaged Ascalon in the quest where you recieve the devourer egg and have this farmer use it to lure out the queen plauge worm. The first time I had to redo the mission to get the egg again and when I gave it to him the second time, the queen worm never showed up!
