View Full Version : Hellgate: London
The Flagship Studios team has finally spilled some details on their first title. A FPS/RPG set in a post-apocolyptic London.
Unlike the usual fantasy orc/demons/elves theme this one includes guns!
Guns I tell you! Fantastic!
Hellgate: London is due sometime in 2006.
I've been following the happenings over at FS for about a year now and I must say I'm very intrigued by the game concepts that were revealed in PC Gamer. The game is a first-person role-playing game. If you look at the screenshots that were in PC Gamer, you'll immediately think of Doom 3. The game sounds like a first-person shooter that adds role-playing elements to it, like dice rolls and phat lootz. The accuracy and damage almost sounds to me like Deus Ex, if any of you have every played that game.
If you still want to know more about this game, I encourage you to check out The Flagship Follower (http://www.flagshipfollower.com). I have added all of the information that I could find in the magazine.
An FPS/RPG with guns in a post-modern timezone?
Sounds like a Deus Ex rip-off...
Meh, not my kind of game...
Here are a bunch of video links showing the game (from Youtube):
Its caught my eye, I might get it. Looks like a futuristic Diablo. Im all for Diablo again.
can't wait for it, ive been following it since it was first announced, if its good enough it might convert me away from guild wars
Watched the trailer with the two Templars fighting their way out to the banks of the river and that got me all giddy and excited. Does anybody know what model they are going to follow?
(Also free to play like GW or are they a pay to play game?)
Here is a un-confirmed, made-up, probably false release date of Hellgate London from Walmart:
Why am I excited? Because this is the first sign of a release at all that I have seen (And they have been working on it for quite a while now). I still do not know if you have to pay to play the game  . I am all ready to let loose a mass of scarabs to devour some zombies :D.
i was once interested, now its just a passing "meh"...
