I'm looking for a good headset with microphone that's reasonably priced at around $50 or less. Anyone own a decent headset that you would recommend to others?

I should add that I thought about getting the collectors edition of Guild Wars but it would really be only for the headset that comes along with it. I'd rather spend the extra $30 that the collector's edition would cost on a seperate headset. I've yet to play Guild Wars but I enjoy online rpgs and I have no doubt I'll be very much into the pvp/guild side of the game.

These (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7009961&type=product&id=1099392726705) are what I use, have had them for about 2 or 3 months, and they're great.

hehe... bit expensive those ones.

I use these ones: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7009952&type=product&productCategoryId=cat01056&id=1099392726643 (same site/brand)

They're pretty decent. Picked them up the other day. Relatively comfortable over my old ones (same design-behind the head). The only problem with behind the head headphone/mics is that your ears will sometimes begin to hurt after a few hours of use. However thus far I haven't had that problem yet (my older generic brand used to do that alot).

These (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7009989&type=product&productCategoryId=cat01056&id=1099392726767) are what I use. Had them for a few months and never had any major issues. they are not the best, but i play in my home office and no-one bothers me when im playing so i dont need super top of the line.

I got one for free with my last game, so I don't have one of these.. but the Sennheiser PC140's look very tempting. I personally use Grado headphones, but the Sennheiser I've used are amazing quality.

Plantronics (http://www.headphones.com/headphones/home_and_office/plantronics_audio90.html)
I use those. I got them at Fry's for $20. Comfortable on the ears and the fold up mic is nice so it's not always in your face.

You can get the Collectors Edition for $60 at Best Buy, so you would be getting the headset for $10

I'm using these as well, and i agree they're very worth the price.
it also has a mic mute switch which is handy when you need to go afk or something. They're also very comfortable, which is almost the most important thing (that and sound quality) because you'll probably want to be able to use them for long stretches of time.

I use the SENNHEISER PC 130 Stereo Headset, and its amazing, my speakers are in the closet now. Yeah i know its 50$ but you get what you pay for and its really great, so if you can afford it deffinetly go for it.

http://www.rpgforums.net/images/smilies/lol.gif I have the same, good headset indeed. But I'm still using my speakers when I can because of my 5.1 setup and Audigy2 :D

Thanks a lot for all the replies. I got a lot of recommendations for Sennheiser. I did a search over at Amazon and decided to go with these: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000DCRHA/qid=1113337600/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/104-1911970-9913537?v=glance&s=electronics&n=507846

very good choice indeed, I would have got the same one if it wouldn't have been so damn expensive here :(
