I may be totally off here, but from what I've read there seems to be some special package type of the game that gives your a character a halo.
My question is, what the hell would you want one of those for? To me it seems like a giant "target me" sign over your head. "Hey look I'm some uber pre-order guy, make sure you kill my glowing *** first!"
No?
You are reffering to the Collectors Edition aura. This is an emote that can be turned on and off when and if the user chooses to do so. Yes if they have it on its more of a "look i've got the collectors edition" but if your that worried people will target you for that then you can jsut turn it off.
Oh yeah, I'm definately targetting those guys first. They'd only have it turned on to feed their ego, so I hope all my fellow non-collector-edtion-cretins punish haloed persons with death. Join the cause!

So, you are saying your going to attack people because they paid more money to support Guild Wars and were given a special item?

Obviously we hate Guild Wars here, so we punish those who support the devs. ;)

Haahahaha, yeah right. They didn't do it to support guildwars, they did it because it's "something" that "somebody else" won't have. It's the guildwars version of the panda pet.
I'm not killing them because they have a halo and I don't. I'm killing them because they have the best chance of actually being half decent, and therefore a threat. You know why there are no purple goldfish in a school of orange goldfish? Because that's the one the shark impulsively decides to chase and eat.
i know several people who got collectors jsut because they wanted the artwork...i doubt many got it for the aura. How does the person spending more money to get an aura make them more of a threat? i see no logic in that conclussion. I mean i haven't ordered a collectors. But i've played every beta so far, does that mean if someone who buys the CE on release (and has never touched the game before) becomes mor experianced than beta players?
This is not a "dig" or "flame" in anyway jsut a question on the logic of your comment. Unless of course i've missed something. In which case point it out, please.

lol I like the purple goldfish... lol but seriously. As he explained you may also switch off your halo, thus solving your friends problems of getting targeted first. I personally would aim for the guy with the halo because its just trying to brag that he bought the collectors edition (woooo!) plus they can just as well support the devs of guildwars by buying the collectors edition and turning the halo feature off... Hehehehe purple goldfish living in an ocean I love it.

Whats the command to activate the halo?
Whats the command to activate the halo?
or better to deactivate it (it looks stupid)
Whats the command to activate the halo?
Any emote will activate the aura, but it's only on while performing the emote.
I don't know where the OP got the 'Halo' rumor from; unless people spend their time /dancing during PvP there will be no way to tell who bought the CE and who didn't.

I say we hate them because hating korea is getting kind of old and we need somebody new to hate. Besides, I think collector's edition auras need a nerf. I mean, look at them, they're obviously overpowered. All that glowing and such. It's obviously an unfair distraction that gives them an advantage that just can't be countered. So I say it would only be fair for us to start about fifty threads demanding the aura be nerfed.

That aura is overpowered.
Just last night I had a team run down there, and someone started to dance with the aura on...
It was so shiney and alluring we could not look away while the other team butchered us.
NERF THE AURA ANET~!!!
