I'm a newbie to this game and I don't quite understand all the details. Anyone of you guys able to present me a template/build for a warrior/necro build so that I can use it in PVE and then eventually use it in PVP?

The difference in play between PvE and PvP is quite large, so giving you one to practice on in PvE isn't going to make you think it's any good.

Tips for a good PvP build: It needs to be able to do the job you want it to be able to.

Sorry for the vague answer, but it's best that you think about the role you want to play, then use a Character Builder to select some skills and let us review it for you and help you improve upon it. Asking for builds generally doesn't work (as you can see from the mass of replies there are).

Characters in PvP have more of a specific role and emphasis rather than being a cookie cutter.

I get the idea guys. How about a PVE build then? I want a build I can play around with so that I can get a good idea of the game and then I will be able to develop my own build that would satisfy me.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is needed from time to time. Most people are busy spending time thinking of builds for themselves or simply playing the game now that it is out. had you posted this just a week ago likely could have gotten all the information you could handle plus some.

There is however a way around this. Look into the different Attributes of each class and think a little about complimentary skills for Warrior/Necro if that is what you want to do. Things like sword skills that work/work better when the target has a certain condition, then look for skills that can inflict that condition thus giving you an ability to not only weaken the enemy with a poison/cripple/whatever but to then take advantage of that to do extra damage or add further conditions.

Look at how many attributes you are going to draw your skills from try to focus on 3-4 skills. Taking only 2 allows you to truely master them but limits you greatly on your ability to adapt to changing situations. while taking 5 or more quickly decreases the effectiveness of those you are using by spreading points too thinly. (there are ofcourse exceptions to every rule and this is no different some people can operate very well focusing on only 2 attributes or generalizing on many with decent focus on only 1-2)

Let us know what role you plan to take, what levels you plan each relative attribute to be and what skills you think would work well together. with this information it is much easier and more convient (there for more likely to get responces) for others to look at what you have and make recommendations to consider that may improve the build. One thing I have noticed people who make their own builds and test them learn them, and adapt them to situations fair much better than those who merely look at what someone else did and try to mimic that. By going through the process yourself not only will you be learning how that particular build works you will also be finding other skills that can play a usefull role in various situations. It is this ability to not only know the "standard role" of the character you play, but also know how to combat other unexpected strategies that the mimicers fail to learn and thus leave them subpar in game performance.

Well, the common Wa/N bleed and suck combo is always there. Basically you set up with a sword and do mos of the damage from attacks. You enhance that by using inflicting bleeding which further drains health. Then use your necro half to siphon health off of them to keep yourself healed.

This is pretty basic, things like it have been posted dozens of times here.

Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Hamstring
Life Siphon
Vampiric Gaze
Plague Touch

+ one more skill, Rez signet, Well of Blood, Well of Power, or some other skill that helps parties, adds damage, or defense.

I was hoping for some specifics here guys. Like strength, dex, and all that other stuff. I haven't opened up the game yet, but I intend to do so when I have some spare time.

Come back and post once you have "opened up the game".

You will realise that attributes such as STR, DEX, INT,... that are typically found in RPGs arent here (well STR is, but its not as an actual stat).

Gather some basic info on your own and then make a more informative post. There is no true one perfect build. No one is going to tell you to put xx in STR, xx in DEX and then spec this way and that way.

Go to gwonline main site.
Download the attribute calculator, it comes with a pre-made build.
Look up this build: DarkKnight (War/Nec)

have fun.
