i do not know of a way to activate an in-game display of your framerate... however, i believe you can get the video capture program "FRAPS", which can display your current framerate onscreen, even when you're not recording (so there should not be a performance hit). at least, i think so.

Right click you Guild Wars shorcut and put " -perfs" (without quotes) at the end of the target line

Do anyone know what a good FPS rate is? When I'm playing on my work machine, a Dell Precision 360 with a Quadro FX 1000 128Mb, I can easily get 30FPS.

On my homegrown Pentium4 2.8Ghz with an eVGA GeForce FX 5600LE 256Mb, I top out at about 18-20FPS. It is still smooth, but I'd like to bring that FPS up, if possible.

Both are running at 1280x1024, 4xAA.

I'm currently getting 38 fps average. That is on a Athlon 64 3500 with 2 6600gt cards running in SLI. And with some other things running in the backround. I haven't finished tweaking this machine yet though because I just built it.

Ok, I turned off some things I was doing in the backround and now I am getting close to 100 fps. I was running some utility software and updating some stuff as well as moving some files around my network. Once I get this tweaked and everything else done I should be able to get much, much higher.
