Hammers Types?

I know that different bow types (long, short, flat, halfmoon, etc.) have different attack ranges and speeds.

Do different hammers (rams, war, double, maul, etc.) have different speed of attack, or other factors? For that matter, do different swords or axes?

I believe this would be important to know...

What are the different types of hammers and what do they look like?

I was wondering if you had any of the following items:
Hammer with attck 35
Hammer Haft with Vampiric 5 Hammer
Hilt of Fortitude +30

[Tyrole]

The types I remember off the top of my head are:

War Hammer
Maul
War Pick
Twin Hammer
Giant Slayer
Rams Hammer

I know there are several more, but I can't remember then. Just wondering if there is a difference in abilities between hammer, or if the only difference is aesthetic.
