It'll probably run at 800x600 with Terrain and Textures set to low and Shadows and Reflections disabled.
However, due to the fact that you have a relatively low amount of memory, you'll probably be waiting up to 40 seconds for a shard to load... so transitioning between areas might be a pain.
If you want to test it before buying the game, download the beta client and open it. If the background on the menu is rendering smoothly without frame skipping, you won't have much of a problem.

hey i play on my laptop with a pentium 4 2.4, 1gb ram, and a geforce4 4200go with 64mb, i play at 1680x1050. the textures are at high, terrain is at high, i set shadows to low and disabled the post-process effects, it runs great.

Sure it runs great with 1024 mb ram, but don't your eyes twitch with that resolution?

this game doesnt require much of a good comp..
I'm running it at all max settings and 4x AA on a 1ghz Athlon, 512mb RAM and radeon 9550 with minimal lag when you first enter a zone

The short answer is yes.
The graphics card is your most critical component. It passes. However, the graphics settings will be limited.

it turns out my desktop doesnt have an agp slot (those sony losers). so what settings can i play this game at with the pci card posted above?
and sorry to strifex for invading this thread. i dont think the pros here like multiple threads with the same tech problems about a specific grafics card.
You would probably compromise on the graphics settings, but it should run. I've got an agp 5700le and it overclocks really well. I'm not sure about the o/c on the pci version but you can get it for 89 from newegg. I'm not sure if the performance gain would justify the extra costs, but my card runs GW really well...
Core/Memory Speeds
5200- 250/330
5700le 250/400
I o/c'ed my card to 375/430 and it is running well. If you don't know much about graphics card stuff then I would recommend going with whatever looks good to you out of the box because you can damage your new gear if you aren't careful.

No one should have to buy a game that won't work on their computer. And for the response before to my question, If that test works and I have no problems running the background, its a sure thing it will work on my laptop? And by memory what do you mean graphics card memory or RAM(because that I can upgrade to up to 1 gig and 256mb)?
