Assist Tactic

I just started playing and I find it very difficult to assist other players to attack the same mob.

As far as I can tell the only way to do it is for someone to call (which I have no idea how to do) and then click on that little target next to his name then perform a 'do it'. This is so hard to do quickly and makes me very frustrated. It is especially hard when there are lots of lots of mobs surrounding and you can't see anything.

Can people give me hints on how to do this well?

Target-caller presses Ctrl-space. This announces his/her target to the team. (More generally, holding down Ctrl while doing any action will announce that action to the team.)

Everyone else hits T and automatically targets the thing last called out.

Simple, but poorly documented.

If no one is calling targets, I usually go through the most likely ones until I have one who's life is being lowered (being attacked). Then, I just concentrate on that one target.

I'm not faced with this problem too often since I usually explore and with all henchmen.
