Well im stuck with a difficult choice I want to play as necro but i need a 2nd class and idk what to choose for my second class.. I got either N/Me or N/E can you tell me good and bad points on each. And if possible gimmie good builds that i can plan on? Thank you ahead of time.
Necro/Mes is good if you like the curses line, enfeebles, and such. A Mes/Necro would probably do better in this role though.
Necro/Monk is pretty good if you want to focus on minions. spells like heal area really help with keeping your minions alive. Monk heal spells are also useful if you want to focus on alot of sacrifice spells.
With the exception of a minion master build, most necro related builds would be better off as a nec secondary in pvp situations (basically, the idea is if people are dying in any significant amount, the energy is kinda a moot point anyway ^^;), but it can have its uses in pve. You fight alot more enemies in the normal game and soul reaping gets alot more action, so it can be useful, even outside of minion builds.
Personally, I play a Necro/Warrior as my main right now. I went with a necro main mostly for the energy pool and regen, plus they look so darn cool^^ They also get better armor then most of the other mage jobs (70 armor v. 60, but you suffer from a holy weakness. Not really a big deal in pve anyway) so you aren't completely vulnerable up front^^ I focus mostly on Blood magic to help keep me alive, while doing damage in the process, and back that up with some sword skills to kill things even faster^^ Its not exactly the best combination sometimes, and not very flexible, but it works for me and I have fun with it^^
The best thing I can recommend, no matter the combination, is just make sure that you have something to contribute to your party and ways you can help support them^^ If not so much support, then at least make sure you have ways of helping with keeping yourself alive ^^; This is alot easier with necro skills, because so many have a health gain benefit, but its something to think about^^

i personlay have a Nec / mes dedicated in hexing and life steal untill they are weak, then heavy dmg, then recover mana from everyones corpse. and so continue the cycle.
10 soul rip
10 blood magic
11 domination magic
i posted my build in the PvE as "I finished my Nec/mes" look for it if ur interested.

One of the bulds i was thinking of too was an N/E build. Nec to get minions and curse maybe and when minions keep ppl busy i can nuke and when its almost done i blow up the minions/horrors for even more dmg.. what do you guys think?? Also i would like to use a nec primary for PVP or GvG builds since thers not too many of those id like to be a little unique heh or help in a way thats not widely used.. :)
If you're going with a minion build, you usually won't have energy to spare for much nuking, because you're using all your energy to.. well.. summon minions o.o;;
Minion builds aren't very suited for pvp because of the lack of corpses. Blood and Curses don't realy benefit from soul reaping (and soul reaping is fairly useless in pvp anyway), so most necro type builds work with it as a secondary in pvp. There are some benefits from going with a necro main, though, such as the fact that many blood skills get a nice bonus at 14 skill^^ Only way you can reach that as a secondary is if you keep awaken the blood on 24/7 o.o;;
Curses is potentially a very effective line in pvp, but very hard to find a balance with. Curses tend to have high costs, recharges, and cast times, so its very hard to focus on what you want to work with here. There are some spells here, though, that you can't find anywhere else that are huge in pvp (rend enchantments comes to mind ^^;)
Necro mains do get the small comfort of a 70 armor set compared to most other mage jobs, but it also suffers from a holy weakness =\ Thats not such a big deal in pve though o.ob

I'm a Necro/Elly and I love it. I got a Great build mostly made up of nuke with Metour Shower Nuke again with Fire Storm then run in there and do Inferno and Unholy Feast. Dishing out to a big Area a total of 70 each second(10)+30 each second(10)+ 50+30=1080 damage =). Pretty kick *** attack. And then you add on for Unholy Feast all the guys you hurt around you and steal that health and when u dish out all your damage I do Soul Feast for health and with my extra magic left I raise an army of Bone Minions and Bone Fiends. Then for all the far range fights I use either Immolate (does 50 fire damage+burn) or Vampiric Gaze (Steals 70 Health). Depends on my mood =) well hope i helped you out a bit.

as i said befor... im a nec/mes but by having the problem with the mobs i started to check the fire elementalist and i started to like it. the next porblem is that i dont have enogh atribute points as i would like to. i dont know how good are the minions cause i have never tryed them but im sure they would help... but area dmg would give me plenty soul rip points.
do minions die after # time ? or just by dmg ?

i got exited by the idea of fire area dmg, but then i looked at the list of powers and i decided that monks are better in that case.
i never played ele or monk but here are some comparations:
Blathazars aura : 25 energy, 1 sec, 15 sec... 22 holy dmg x 10 secs (adjacent)
symbol of wrath : 5 energy, 2 sec, 30 sec... 27 holy dmg x 5 secs (this area)
(+ no exhaustion)
both seem pretty good but i dont know how extencive the area is, but the good thing is that now i can have hex control (+ ench by nec) and resurrect.
-Life transfer (elite)
-blood renewal / unoly feast
-vampiric gaze
-shadow strike
-Blathazars aura
-smite hex / strip enchantment
-bane signet / symbol of wrath
-resurrect / blood ritual (monk in party or not)

I'll tell you this Bogus, N/Mo is pretty much only good if your a death mage but even so you have Soul Feast. It's your choice but I am quite fond of N/E Sweet combo dishes out awsome damage but you choice. Good Luck! :D

being necro is the only main thing for me... for second i like the mesmer but the problem with mobs is really BAD, also nec and mes are pretty much alike so i would not mind letting the mesmer go.
i dont care if im monk or elementalist or mesmer or pure necro in second class. I just want to know the best way to deal with those nasty mobs. Is fire truly better than smiting for that job ??? cause i have tryed niether. how good is meteor shower. (very good dmg but all the rest looks "NOT GOOD").
or is there some efective domination or death spell that i could use ?

Metour Shower- Imagine Fire Storm but does 5times the damage and knocks the enemy down thats what Metour Shower is =).
Fire Magic General- Very strong takes a while to cast stronger spells but in the end very strong very useful. Much better then smiting magic. I mean no one becomes a monk for attacking people duh.
Mesmer's are a lot like Necro's if you use Curses.
It's all in the role you've picked.
I seem to have tendencys to wish the most harm onto others as can be done. to that end I'm working on N/E. I plan on using fire magic distract the enemy while I suck the life out of them. I'm going to be Death dealing terror with a pyromainac streak. I am currently 27 points short of level 14.
I like Fire.
Water seems to be a damage type of magic while earth and air seem to be more in the line of throwing impediments in the way of the opponents.
I am a firm beliver in a strong offense so defensive measures are not really my strong point.
Let the Mezzers slow 'em down while the tanks, the elementalists, and the Necros do the dirty deeds and the the monks can keep us alive.
(If I know those nasty Mezzers and saintly Monks -they'll get their licks in.)
This is the way I see it. If I'm wrong let me know; but be gentle I might have to turn a gazaing eye on you.
The basic roles for the combos is either damage dealing or tank support
Damage dealing:
Warriors - need I say more???
Necro/elementalist using death and fire magic to put the whammy on anyone that dares to look cross-eyed at you
Necro/Monk or Mes using hexes and curses to impede/disable opponents and heal or enhance your allies. I know nothing about Mezzers or monks so look at these combos closer to see if I may be off on this one.
Before you chose you have to decide how your going to meld into your group.
You want to deal death and destruction - you'll probably go N/E ior maybe even M/W
You want to play the sneaky bas*** that trips up or interfers with your enemys while the tanks get their hands dirty then you'll be better off as N/Mo or N/Mes.
Regardless as a Necro you'll be standing off to the side while doing your thing.
Necro is not a touchy-feely profession.
If you want to be up close and intimate then you should probably be a W/N

Nicely said =). 100% Agreed. Like he said For being a guy who hurts over time go with N/Me for Strong bad *** attacks go with N/E and for strong front line go with N/W
