With ascalon armor does the damage reduction listed on the armor stack if you have all the pieces? If it does then I can see why the fur squares needed to make it are so coveted. If it doesn't then I would think one piece of ascalon armor would suffice for damage reduction and then the rest of the armor pieces could be used for something with a higher armor level or with energy boosting stats.

I read on another message board that the damage reduction on the ascalon armor only works if you get "hit" on that particular area of your body. It sounds bogus to me, but I'm just putting this out there in order to get feedback from those who have the armor. This would be other reason I could see getting the whole set of ascalon.

For those who do have the ascalon armor, are you satisfied with it? Have you noticed any damage reduction or an increase in damage reduction as you acquired more pieces?

I've managed to salvage a few pieces of fur, and I'm contemplating either selling them on the open market or using them to create ascalon armor.

I have tested the ascalon armor stacking. I swaped two pieces of ascalon 35 armorwith two other 50 armor pieces (the rest of my armor is ringmail armor 50) and i had beter results with only one ascalon armor. Beter one ascalon 35 than all ringmail. I must add that my tests were with small creatures a beter test could be made but. Im pretty shure that they dont stack.
