i havent got the game yet, but im planning ahead what im going to use. (ranger/warrior or vise versa for sure)
and looking at the skills list, i came across dual shot, which seems to be popular. the description says,
Shoot two arrows simultaneously at target foe. These arrows deal 25% less damage than normal.
so whats the point? you shoot 2 arrows and the total damage is 25% less than a normal shot? wheres the benefit?

It's like shooting an additional arrow that only does 50% damage.
Furthermore, each arrow gets bonuses from Ignite Arrows, Favorable Winds, etc, so the penalty is negated further.

Ignite Arrows works well with dual shot, because the fire damage from the arrows spreads to adjacent enemies too, not once but twice (because you fired two arrows)
Ignite your arrows, fire a dual shot into a group of 3 or more charr and seeing the damage rack up is pretty impressive.

I have a R/E and I love duel shot!
What you need:
Fiery Bow
Ignite Arrow - based on wilderness skill
Conjure Flame - requires fire weapon based on fire skill
Duel Shot - 25% less damage then normal arrows
I hit for an average of 120 with this combo :happy53:
Looks something like
40 40(the duel shot arrows)
15 15 (ignite arrow)
15 15 (conjure flame)give or take a few points.
Hope that helps! :happy65:
