View Full Version : Tech Question Graphics Card?
I only have on board graphics and was wondering what graphics card I can get just to get the job done and not spend alot. I found one that seems like it would work called the SAPPHIRE 1024-HC25 Radeon 9200SE 128MB 64-bit DDR PCI Video Card - OEM was wondering if that would be good enough to play the game cause it only costs $50.
I play on a 32 (or 64... not sure) Mb card... it works well!
P.S. this is the guild forum... there's the community forum for tech related questions :)

Whats bothering me about that card is the PCI. Im running GW on two different cards. One 256 mb PCI and a 256 mb AGP. The PCI runs "noticably" choppier, while the AGP runs perfect with everything turned to the max settings.

I have a Nvidia Geforce Fx 5200- $72 on newegg.com
stats-agp 8x
270/433mhz
128mb
Kinda slow but it runs Guild Wars with everything on high except no antialiasing. I can have highest resolution and high everything but no antialiasing. Cheap card. A better card would be the Radeon 9800 pro for $189 but I'm not sure if that is too much.
You should be able to get better - PCI-bus and 64-bit memory interface is not good.
