Hi, I have a noob question... hope someone can answer me this quickly.

I found a this

Tall Shield 14 def (req: 4 Tactics)

My question is, how come I can equip this shield even though i don't have a point in Tactics? Thanks.

Erm, i'm not sure either!!! are you a warrior? Maybe if you are not a warrior and don't have the tactics skill at all in might glitch???

I am a Warrior, but i don't put points on Tactics because I concentrate on Sword Mastery, Streght and Beast Mastery (Ranger).

the "requires X <stat>" only applies to the property it's next to. for example, 10-20 damage (requires 12 swordsmanship) means that you get 10-20 if you have 12 swordsmanship, but you get less (i don't know just how much) if you don't have it.

i found a grim cesta that's +9 to energy (requires 8 death magic) or some such, and i got +6 energy from it when equipped without enough of the stat.

If you don't meet the requirements, it uses a hidden set of stats. I.E, a 15-22 Sword (req. Swordsmanship 12) would only do about 1-3 damage if you didn't meet the requirements.
