Hello All and welcome to my n00b questionning.

So, simply said I'm trying to find some damn cool looking armor for my W/mo9 but have been sadly dissapointed! Althought this site bears that Ascalon armor crafters can craft wyvern armor, all they can make is that drag helmet.

Now forgive for those who will be offended. The armor that's currently offered in my char's area (Ascalon, Piken, Ranik, Front Gate) are sad in terms of aesthetics. Ascalon armor looks like I grabbed a hoard of furry bunnies, through them in Charr tar and glued them to my body. Not very cool... not cool at all. Ring mail looks plain and kind of says "I forgot to dress daunting today." Lacks any flavor at all, unless you're looking for old-school gladiator thing.

Now, after ranting (and some might say whining) at the piss poor armor that can be crafted, can someone tell me where I can make some sweeter stuff? So far, I'm using the ringmail that has plates on it (found on several collectors pre and post-searing). What else can one find. Oh yeah, one more thing. WHAT"S WITH THE HELMETS?!

You better start to save for the 15K armor that people're talking about (Sorry can't tell you what it looks like since I didn't see it yet). In the mean time, may be you can put some color/dye on your furry bunnies? :D

Oooh, I'm not wearing furry bunny armor. I have standards and one of them is fight with style. If you're gonna die, might as well look good while doing it. To this end I'm still wearing pre-searing plated ringmail which looks a helluva lot cooler than furry bunny armor. I'll admit that I am wearing furry bunny boots. They're warm so I can deal with it.

I hear ya. May be we can ask if ANet should invite Armani, Hugo Boss, etc...involve in the design for the armors. Heck, I don't mind to wear an Armani armor

Armani, now that's dying with style. I'll admit I was thinking more along the lines of Legolas and the 3000 Elves... or maybe that other dude from that other film with the other cool armor. And to be a bit more specific, the guy who designed the armor for Soul Calibur III. Now that's sick.

But honestly now, where can I acquire other armor types?

The next Armor Crafter is in Yak's Bend and the Lion's Arch after that. The Styles of the armor are likely to be similar to those in Ascalon though the Armor Level does improve.

I'm aware of the armor in Yak's Bend (went there with a previous character) only to find gladiator is the only diffrent looking armor.

The part that gets me is there are tons of screens featuring characters with largely different armor types. Are these only acquired at the very end of the game?
