anyone......anyone at all?
What kind of router do you have? And describe the crash. Does it all stop and emit a really high pitched noise?

its a linksys...it doesn't crash completly.....the game just stops for like a min every few min and then it eventually comes back
Try unplugging the router and going direct again, see if you still have the problem with the game freezing up.

I agree. Linksys Switches and Routers are notorious for seizing up and dropping data packets. Every once in a while, you have to kick it to get it to work. Disconnecting the power and reconnecting seems to be the only recourse.

Yes, I agree that is a good idea, too. However, what I was suggesting was that he bypass the router and go directly to the net again to see if the game still was freezing up without the router connected (which I did with my Linksys and the game still froze up regularly).
I say this because I have seen many comments from people that were doing fine with no freezing/lagging/slacking that suddenly crapped out in the same general time frame (within a few days), suggesting that some bad code had been streamed from ArenaNet after the game went live. So, the router may not be the issue at all, and that is easy to test by simply bypassing it manually.
personally i don't like to plug router directly to ther source, maybe because i'm at school and have to deal with Rez Net. ne way, i run a Pentium 133 system as my internet server (I log in using this), than i have my router running form this computer to my other computers (3) and i share my internet with my roomate. i never have ne problems doing it this way, sometimes i do have to reset the router though.

I run a linksys at home and have no problems. Course mine is an older version. I would suggest checking to see if your router has a firewall built into it. and suggest opening up the ports for the game. or alot of em have a predetermined setting. Called gaming mode. which you usually has some pre canned settings for more of the popular games.
edit: also to access my router settings. I go to http://192.168.1.1 and it brings up the authentication page.
