I found an excellent way to gain high experience points at higher character levels
- Go to Beacon's Perch (between the Frost Gate and Gates of Kryta)
- Form party of just henchment and walk out the SOUTH gate
- Turn left (East) and go up the hill
- Kill everything you can
Remember that experience is shared across all living party members. I'll often have my henchment weaken a couple of enemy, then I let my henchmen die. I'll then finish off the enemy myself, and get a TON of experience. I think I was a level 16 character and got 240 experience for each level 24 ice golem I killed.
Another GREAT technique is to use the hills to your advantage. Look at this screen shot:

By standing down in the valley, the ice golems would throw boulders into the hill and never touch me. I just firestormed them till they were all gone. I once killed 5 by myself with this technique.
