Mis-Salvaged Items

After about an hour or so of questing, I had tons of armor from charr, grawl, etc. I wanted it salvaged so I grabbed my salvage kit and salvaged all of them, including 2 runes that I forgot I had (I knew I had them, but forgot they were there). Is there any way to enable some sort of "Are you sure you want to salvage this item?" box? Is there a way to contact the DV's and maybe request something like this (unlikely, but better than nothing).

P.S. I also had a cane that said Unidentified in purple instead of the normal blue. I indentified and salvaged it with a expert kit, but only got one ingot? Did I do something wrong?

Sorry if these have been asked, it's my first MMORPG - type game and I'm not too sure about the basics. This is all after searing.

No, and no. Purple weapons aren't any more rewarding to salvage than normal stuff.

purple is "more magical" which means it has a better chance of having properties on it than blue does. intrinsically, there's no value.

i was about to say i thought a confirmation on salvaging would be terribly inconvenient, but as long as the default (when you press ENTER) is "yes", i suppose it wouldn't slow you down too much at all. double-click on the kit, click on the item, then press enter on your way back to the kit. sounds reasonable, at least at the speed i usually salvage things.
