View Full Version : Necro Touch spells built
I would like to hear thoughts about this built.
Using primary blood magic and Death magic skills like
touch of agony / vampiric touch / vile touch along with awaken the blood ,
plague touch spells for fast kills. Add life transfer and barbed signet . Any reccomendation will be appreciated.

I was about to suggest that you use a Warrior primary, but they probably don't have the Energy for the kinds of things you're hoping for. On the flip side, Necros don't exactly get the greatest armor, so it might be dangerous to be running into the fray in order to get in range to touch anything.
Hmmm... here's one idea. Since you're using Blood magic anyway, get Well of Blood. That way, along with things like Vampiric Touch and Life Transfer, which will keep your health high, you'll be able to exploit your target's corpse, once you do kill it, to give yourself an extra bit of health regen. Since you're already in the heat of combat, you'll gain the bonus from the well naturally, and your Warrior comrades will thank you for it.
Necro armor isn't that bad - armor rating of 70. So it is less than that of a warrior, but it's not lower than other classes. And because of your blood magic, you'll constantly be gaining life even w/out the support of a healer. And with a healer you can last forever out in the fray (given that you don't have a mesmer on you). I like to bring along life siphon (3 health sucked for 23 seconds for me) and cast it on all nearby foes. So even though it's not dealing that much damage, the regen you get is excellent. And then for 23 seconds you're free to cast all your other vampiric spells.

Problem is that at higher levels, your armor doesn't really mean much.
So a necromancer primary with secondary warrior can survive just as well as a warrior primary.
It really comes down to the stances and the vampiric spells.
